**UPDATE**"THEORY" 6th and 7th chest discussion.
We are attempting to figure out how to make the 6th and 7th chest spawn so far we have tried clearing the entrance without a pretorian entering a sync plate but nothing happened we will be retrying on hard mode tonight to confirm.
(5th chest confirmed can get in normal or hard mode by preventing the templar from teleporting)
7th chest has speculation on how to get it whether it is clear the gorgon maze without being seen on hard mode or speed runs etc.
We will be attempting all of these tonight on hard mode to test these theories. Any ideas and theories from players would be helpful we want to find these and show everyone else how to as well.
Everyone mocked us and called us liars when we said we said there was a 5th chest and BAM! confirmed!

4 RepliesHang on, I was reading through the grimoire a little bit and on the card for the relic it states: "From my own Light and from the thinking flesh of the Vex I made a shield. The shield is your deliverance. [b]It will break the unbreakable.[/b] It will change your fate." Now, it follows I suppose that the shield changes our fate during the Atheon encounter when we leave the portals and are given the message "Guardians make their own fate". However, the line that gets me is the one in bold above. Do we ever use the shield to break something unbreakable? I suppose it most likely refers to dropping the Templar's shield but I wonder if there is any more to it. Thoughts?

I feel like all these are too obvious for it to be the case. For instance preventing the Templar from teleporting it took awhile to realize that's what we needed but bungie left us clues about it. Example: we know where he is teleporting based on the ring that appears. I feel we need to think outside the box more Maybe not only do we need to control the plate without a vex control but possibly have to complete without using supers....or heavy ammo. And maybe for the Gordon's lair we have to complete it without running or jumping Things like that All do able but difficult. And I don't it needs to be done on hard seeing as you can get the chest from the Templar on hard and normal Just a thought

12 RepliesWe're starting up an exploratory VOG run with the sole purpose of attempting a "perfect" run to try and see if any of the ideas and/or myths surrounding it mean anything or not. Some of the criteria we'll be looking to hit are: -Opening the vault without losing a plate -Taking the "correct" path to the Templar -No deaths -No Vex sacrifices -No markings -No Templar teleportation -Taking the "correct" path to the Gorgon maze -Killing 1 Gorgon and proceeding through the maze without getting caught/killed by any others -Taking the left jumping puzzle path to Atheon -Removing both relics from Atheon's room and attempting to use them to open the mysterious portal outside This will undoubtedly be very difficult, even for experienced players, even on normal. We will not succeed on our first try. It will take many, many tries. So we are looking for 1 more person who can take direction, who has time to kill, who is preferably level 30, and who is just as curious as we are to come in and experiment with us. My friend and I are thinking that there are a number of requirements that need to be met to spawn additional chests/objectives/bosses. Mainly these: -raise spire without losing a plate -finish conflux, oracles and legitimately kill templar, no whipes and no teleport. -complete any objective in gorgon labyrinth (I'm certain there is MUCH more to the labyrinth than we are aware of) No testing done yet, but initial theory is that a chest could spawn at lower jump puzzle or in alternate routes or that completing those requirements would spawn alternate route or gate...

[b]MUST READ![/b] Dunno if you know about the top left of atheons room, there's socalled a cave or something. Well one guy said he went up near it after he killed atheon and times vengeance started. So my theory is.... Maybe someone should go there straight away and get times vengeance active so the rest of the team can kill atheon before he teleports anyone! Just like the no teleport Templar. What do you think?

4 RepliesThis is what I was told ( the person who told me, I did not know, and have not had time, nor a team to try it with) 1. vex cannot take the plate ever ( EVER start to finish). 2. full team must take alt Templar path. 3. no vex can sack, and you cannot miss a orical. 4. Templar cannot teleport. 5. must take alt path the the labyrinth. 6. cannot be seen. 7. full team must use the jumping puzzle to reach the small cave, on to of this, you cannot wipe ( normal) or die ( hard) then the 6th chest should spawn. To get the 7th you need to get the 6th, beat atheon without dying, then jump up the left wall ( jump from the vex gate to the upper platform on the left, then jump around the side of the map ( there are platforms ) that bring you to the upper left wall heading back to the jumping puzzle ( I have jumped up there, but I did it before I beat atheon just messing around, there does look like there is a blocked door ( different color then the rest of the wall) on a platform heading back to the room before atheon. Then the 7th chest is by the vex portal. According to him, the 7th chest is a exotic only chest. I thought this all sounded like BS, but I haven't had a team to disprove it, and I'm willing to give it a try, just haven't had a team to try it with yet. You can hit me up on X1 GT ManBearPig13219

11 RepliesI've made a post before but it didn't get much attention... Has anyone else noticed the metal plates starting at the trials of kabyr just after building the spire and collecting the first chest? These metal plates are scattered throughout the different routes. E.g. Just as you go to jump down to the secret Templar route and if you go the normal way. Also they're by the jumping platforms. My theory is that you need to avoid knocking any of them off in order to keep something open. If that fails then maybe you have to knock all of them off or certain ones. ALSO I noticed yesterday that they updated and added more plates. Which seems like no one has found it and they're trying to make it more obvious. You need a team of 6 people who are willing to test this theory out because most people just want to do the raid and not test things out. I'm on Xbox one if anyone wants to try. I've noted down where I've found the plates... Take a look next time you do a raid you'll see what I mean.

3 RepliesNot sure if anyone else has seen this so let me know if u have!! 2 weeks ago we went through the gorgons maze without being seen! We got to the disappearing steps down to the vault of glass and made the jumps down and got to the other side. We made our way along the wall and jumped down and when I looked to the left there was new disappearing steps that led somewhere else!! Now if u was to jump to the left before taking the disappearing steps down u come to a cave that leads along the left cliff and that's where I think these new steps start and lead to a new chest!! Iv only ever seen this once and someone had already gone into the vault so was not able to get a respawn up top of the steps!!!

3 RepliesI think it has to do with the gorgons. Someone said three don't move when in hard mode. Three sisters maybe? Maybe find out which one you need to kill and only one? Also someone said the gorgons were listed as a boss somewhere. But on a side note. Maybe something else in atheons room. A secret passage after you kill him. Like a drop down one or one you have to climb about to get to that will take you either somewhere else or back out of the room. I also like the theory about somehow killing atheon in the future stream as well since the group that went in for kabr killed him in the past.

2 RepliesHas anyone mapped the locations of the chests? The alpha lupi puzzle earlier this year depended on geometrical patterns to open the pages. I wonder if the chest are spread in a specific pattern. The chest need to be mapped from above and plotted on a 2d map. If the 6th and 7th chest exist maybe they will be found by filling in the blanks. I keep saying this but i dont think anyone has done it. Im a vog noob otherwise i would do it myself.

I've made it through the door without losing a plate and run through gorgon without anybody being seen, and in neither case did a chest show up.

2 RepliesSo I keep hearing stuff about the corrective measure and gorgons, I'm assuming everyone else has as well, I can confirm that it doesn't make you immune or what not. I didn't get one killed with corrective measure didn't know if that would do something. Also I can debunk the saint-14 blinding theory. It doesn't save you I tried.
