Different exotics are better for certain game modes than others because of particular perks they have. I have an exotic helmet and exotic chest piece for my warlock that I swap back and forth depending on if I'm playing PVE or PVP.

I am doing the same, swap back and forth, just seems pointless. Same as nerfing the mythoclast they take something that's hard to get and super bad ass and make it useless. This game is at times a conformist dream. All look the same gear all use the same guns. Easy fix but stubbornly they don't seem to want to do it

All they had to do was just nerf the mythoclast in pvp but keep it the same in pve, then everybody would have been happy. Well at least more people than are now. It's a pve gained weapon so it should retain its effectiveness in pve game scenarios.
