Dear bungie,
Three days ago, (October 18th), I was playing Destiny on my warlock. The boot armor slot of my inventory was full. I hovered the cursor over a white (common) set of boots. I checked again & upon seeing that they were in fact common I dismantled them. Nothing happened for several seconds. I thought that there was just some server lag or connectivity issues. Not a big deal I wasn't in combat. However, once objects on the screen began moving again my raid boots, (Treads of the Hezen Lords, which were fully upgraded), which were equipped were missing. They were no longer equipped & they were not in my inventory.
I'm hoping that you may be able to lend some assistance.
Thank you for your Time.

There is not a way to discern an intentional user dismantle from an unwarranted one, so if this gets read as a dismantle I'm afraid there wouldn't be something we can do to reclaim that. However that being said, your information here is crucial in determining how situations like this can occur, so that moving forward we can address the potential source of these types of issues. Thanks for coming forward on this! We appreciate the detailed documentation. I'll log it for the team.

1 ReplyI can confirm that this has happened before. Hopefully they are able to restore your gear as I have heard of circumstances where they have done so in the past. The boots are such a pain to re-obtain, especially since rng is the main factor in loot distribution.

It's been ages since I've seen a white piece of armor or weapon. I don't think they drop once you pass level 20. How did you get it?
