If you click the link to that AMA on Reddit, it looks very suspicious. The Reddit moderators have made it crystal clear that whoever 404Architect is provided ZERO evidence to back up his/her claim of working at Bungie, and pointed out that the Reddit account was a "throwaway" account. Other Bungie employees have also refuted this person's claims. So, take it all with a grain of salt. Is it true? Who knows; probably not. Is it possible? Sure. Either way, the game is what it is, and there's no changing it now.
