I began pugging this week since most of my original team has moved on. Thanks Destiny RNG system
Its been an interesting experience. Got to help a lot of new raiders and made some new friends. But, there always seemed to be that one guy...
1. People that over estimate themselves leading to their own death, resulting in rotations and making the encounter more difficult than it should be.
2. That guy that thinks 3-4 extra bullets in exchange for his life on hard mode is a worthy deal.
3. That guy that randomly picks up the relic in the portals and doesn't know how to use it.
4. PEOPLE EXPLORING THE JUMP PHASE. FFS. Please do that on your own time.
5. That guy using a high ROF low impact auto on Atheon when he has a sniper rifle.
6. That guy that dies every time from supplicants. Even after telling him nicely to stand on top of portal and shoot.
7. The guy that won't STFU
8. That guy who's mic is inside his mouth and explodes your ears.
9. The titan that trolls us on the last sliver of Atheon and drops his bubble in our bubble, making us endure another portal phase. (On HM. Yes was mad)
I have a lot more, but I'm sure they'll be addressed if this thread takes off.
What are your biggest pet peeves when raiding or leading a raid?

2 RepliesTelling the Portal Team to get to the back of the room and instead they stay up front and shoot at Atheon. NOTHING IS WORSE THAN THIS.
-
The annoying ass dude that won't shut the f up. Or the guy that thinks his alternate strategy is better than using the same strategy as the other 5 and thinks he helps more doing whatever that bullshit is
-
That guy that tries to be the leader, fails at it, and then continues to try correct you throughout the entire raid..
-
Edited by Odd Robot: 10/23/2014 6:19:53 PMThe person that doesn't stick with the group in Gorgon Alley and then gets spotted. Also, group members that panic if they don't know how part of the raid works (such as getting teleported during Atheon on accident) or players exaggerate their own deaths by screaming into the mic.

This is my favorite one. - Dumb teammate goes through Atheons timegate because they abandon their post and hug the back wall. - competent gate team is ruined "who ever got pulled through stick to me and shoot the red oracles" - incompetent teammate ignores my suggestions and sprints for a barely open timegate FML!
-
Shut up and listen that is all.

6 RepliesEdited by Crimson: 10/21/2014 10:11:05 PM1, 3, 5, 7, LEFT! 2, 4, 6, 8, RIGHT! That's even groups RIGHT! Odd groups LEFT! If you die for not knowing where to BE that's a 50 DKP MINUS!

4 RepliesMy biggest pet peeve (situation depending) are advanced, experienced raiders. they forget the code. they forget where they started from, and how weak they felt the first run through the vault. its like everyone forgets, that these new raiders need direction, details, specific instructions and a rough map of what to expect. This doesn't apply to everyone. ive had lvl 30's offer to help me lead a group of lvl 26's through before. you guys, are the real MVP's.
-
The random guy that gets invited at the end because one of the other randoms had to leave, and acts like an elitist douche, despite being less effective than the rest of the team. #hate

1 ReplyLooking at the kill screen after a wipe and having more kills then everyone else combined...... Happens almost every freaking time...
-
2 RepliesTrying to put together matchmaking on the forums Post that you are on alt charcter (let's say a 27 Titan) with exotics, have mic and raid exp........ no responses Post that you are level 30 warlock that can "push" and have checkpoint at Atheon..... 436 comments, 25 friend requests and someone physically knocking down your door

2 RepliesI tried that tonight for the first time. It was a little frustrating being that my group and I get through it in an hour or so and it took me three hours to guide this group, and we only got to the gatekeeper. But, it was enjoyable when they got to open chests and get gear that they could never get before!
-
The guy you find that is a total asshole, causing some players to leave
-
Biggest pet peeves are carrying everyone through the raid and watching them get good rewards while I get shafted ;_;
-
Theres always that one guy who tries to go Leyroyyyyyy Jenkins on Atheon and gets one banged!
-
When someone is assigned a duty and you see them off being a hero. They then consequently die and then someone has to break rank to revive them resulting in more deaths.
-
That guy who makes you (the Oracle killer) run to him to get a cleanse instead of the other way around.
-
1 ReplyNothing, NOTHING, is worse then the Cheetos Chewing Chatters. God damnit, I'd slap you in person if you were to talk with your God damn mouth full spewing bits of partially digested crumbs my direction because you and your mother can't swallow before talking. It explains how bad these kids usually are if you think about how crummy and greasy their controllers must be.

I'm not good with the relic. Well -blam!-ing learn!!!!
-
Not the raid leader for my squad, but I usually do the best or 2nd best (behind him lol) and we're best friends so we consider ourselves co-leaders. The one thing he hates from me is when I'm doubtful. I always am. I don't usually have very high self-esteem and it bothers him. The other thing he hates is when people don't pull their own weight and that's here we both come into play. We're usually the people that pull our own weight and others are slightly lackluster. There's so many others too that I can't really list but other than that, I love the raid :)

2 RepliesI have never had these problems. Guess my group of friends are better than the randoms you seem to be playing with. Everyone I play with knows raiding is a serious thing.
-
I usually act as a sub commander for the outside team on atheon. Directing the other two to where we need them. Them not getting up high after telling them a dozen times, and then getting blown up is probably the worst one lol. Another would be the guy who stays up high and doesn't shoot the boss. I get it if we are surrounded by harpies but when we are not you really need to get down there and put DPS on the boss.
-
Never lead a team yet but some dude kept taking his friends inside the portal on atheon and they kept dying inside and blaming us on the outside saying how they wanted a new team.. But I had too keep my mouth shut cause I wanted to get it done but holy shit why do people who lead think they are God? Like this -blam!- was so -blam!-in bad at this game

2 RepliesPersonally, my biggest pet peeve is "captain distracted." You've probably played with him before. He's the guy holding a conversation with someone else in the room with his mic on, resulting in you hearing half of a conversation you don't care about. He's completely oblivious to this too. He also likes to eat/drink with his Mic in his mouth, so you get to hear the chewing process while youre trying to communicate with everyone else. Hell usually need a few smoke breaks, and he'll die at random times for no readily apparent reason. If given enough time, he'll eventually log off without saying anything. This guy is the perfect representative of what is wrong with the current generation of gamers...

1 ReplyYou return your ps4 yet?

Mother duckers not wanting to take lead then on the first pull they start directing over your directions. Pot heads over stating the obvious on wipes. "In order to get the 5th chest you have to stop the him from teleporting while dancing like a half ass'd exo while rubbing your belly 6 times." Folks clamoring to raid and begging to get one started, then half an hour into it they have to go kick the cat for the dog setting the house on fire. And finally, you fawking noobs don't want to cheese the bosses? I'm gone, I don't have an extra 20 minutes to do it right mates.
