So since the ultimate troll Bungie refuses to give us the option to skip a cut scene and everyone knows how much of an annoyance they are, myself as well as a few friends recently found a way to skip the cut scenes. Here are the steps:
1.) Click the "Credits" button on the bottom right hand corner of the "Destinations" page in orbit.
2.) Once finished with the "Credits" turn off your console. Wait 5 minutes.
3.) Turn your console back on, launch the game, and there ya have it. Launch any mission and I guarantee you won't have to watch a cut scene.
You're welcome.

I just select to change characters and choose the same profile and im in orbit.
to troll or not to troll
You forgot to mention the exotic armor you can only get by waiting another 10 minutes while reciting the pledge of allegiance backward. That perk of being able to wear another exotic at the same time is really cool!

You should add why it works: because by watching the credits the game flags the cutscenes as "already watched all cutscenes"

I see a 'Rick Roll' on the way...LOL

Haven't tried it and probably won't, but what if someone bought the dlc, uses this and then he won't see the possible cut scenes from the story missions in the dlc, who's he going to be angry to, you or Bungie? Just wondering and I think you should add that, everyone who tries this, whatever the outcome is, it was their own choice.

+100 internets to you, sir.
-
Not sure if serious?
-
Lol @ anyone who tries this.
