I do this in every strike mission regardless... -sprint past the trash mobs and get to the first darkness zone -kill self -entire team gets teleported forward -strike is much faster List of things that MUST be completed in each strike: Phogoth: 3 waves, phogoth kill Sepiks: 3 waves, spider tank, sepiks kill Archon Priest: vex gate defense, priest kill Sekrion / Nexus: 3 servitors, sekrion kill Ta'aurc: first console scan, 3 lieutenants, tank, valus kill If you don't see it on this list, you're completely safe to rush through it like a speedrun and get your strike completions that much faster. My average strike completion time is 5-8 minutes, depending on the strike. Sepiks and Ta'aurc take the longest by far.

That's what I do but most of the time but I'll have people that follow me most of the time. I don't know about 5 - 8 minutes though lol that's pretty quick

  • It depends on what I'm after, and also on whoever I'm playing with . If I'm working on a bounty or if any of my teammates seem to be in a hurry, I'll be rushing. But, if I'm just relaxing, I'll enjoy myself and Hand Cannon as many faces as I can find.

  • How many blues and purples you get for racing past on your speeder? Dumb-blam!-.

I could write several paragraphs on how idiotic that statement (and the rest of your argument below) is, but I'll leave you with this. -The engram difference between strikes and patrols is ONLY the rewards at the end -Enemies have the same drop rate regardless of where you are -you get vanguard reputation. 1-4 bonus rewards, AND marks for COMPLETING strikes, not killing enemies in them Therefore: If you want purple and blue engrams from killing shit, go play patrol and farm somewhere, this is not what strikes are for.

  •
I could write several paragraphs on how idiotic that statement
Actually you can't and this is why you didn't. You only get engrams for killing. PERIOD. Go to Sepiks and race around on your speeder underneath him, tell me how many engrams you get. YOU HAVE TO KILL HIM TO BEAT THE STRIKE. My argument still stands, YOU HAVE TO KILL TO GET ENGRAMS.
The engram difference between strikes and patrols is ONLY the rewards at the end
And the fact that you are working towards a goal, playing with friends, and earning marks.
-Enemies have the same drop rate regardless of where you are
Higher concentrations of higher level enemies versus patrols means more drops.
-you get vanguard reputation. 1-4 bonus rewards, AND marks for COMPLETING strikes, not killing enemies in them
Listen up knucklehead because apparently this is escaping you... I never advocated NOT completing the strike. I finish them. I'm full on marks EVERY week. My argument is that if I'm on a level 24 strike, I'm killing every -blam!-ing thing with a 24 or higher above it's head. That's why I'm there. Bungie didn't make strikes for your dumbass to race to the end to kill the boss. If they did then the entry to strikes would be outside the final boss. You are choosing to side step the intention of the game so you can get what you THINK is more reward for your time. You're wrong. That's ok, I long ago learned that you can't fix stupid.
Therefore: If you want purple and blue engrams from killing shit, go play patrol and farm somewhere, this is not what strikes are for.
Actually it's EXACTLY what strikes are for. Hence they GIVE US -blam!-ING BOUNTIES FOR NOT DYING ON STRIKES! Jesus H Christ on a -blam!-ing bicycle... You really are -blam!-ing dense. If they wanted you to speed through it they'd have bounties for Fastest Runs or Most Chicken Shit with least rounds fired. -blam!- dude, you are abusing the intention of the game then proceeding to tell me how to play it.

  • The point of a strike is marks and the loot at the end. You do have a higher chance to get more loot by killing every enemy (your choice) but it is more efficient to skip everything you don't need to fight.

I'm not going to argue with you. You're -blam!-ing retarded. Every statement you've made is half true, and completely ignores the other half which completely throws out of alignment everything you'd previously said. Go shout at someone who enjoys arguing with idiots, I personally think it's a waste of time.

  • Not one single statement of mine is false or half false. Because you don't understand that in Loot Based games the only way to get said loot is by killing, that shouldn't be my -blam!-ing problem. Stop being obstinate. You are lazy and would rather race past everything to get your assured 2 blues then risk fighting for 25 minutes and possibly get a purple. S'ok, they're starting to patch the game so you twats actually have to play it. Go try that shit on Nexus, you'll be waiting all night for him to spawn.

  • Gotcha... so because you have no legitimate rebuttal for your admitted laziness you run away. Life will be a cold hard reality check for you.

You're just yet another college aged smartass with an above average IQ who thinks he's an adult because he has a responsibility or two. Wanna talk about reality checks? Try bringing that attitude anywhere in 'Life' and see where it gets you. Goodbye, and welcome to the ignore list. Do try to calm down.

14 years out of college, kinda know what responsibilities are at this point. Yes, actually I tested High Above Average, 124 thanks for noticing, that's kind of you. I bring that attitude with me in "Life" everyday, I have low tolerance for ignorance and laziness. It actually behooves me quite well in my profession. Again, you are being obstinate. No one has been yelling, I have emphasized sentences by placing certain words in caps. If you interpret that as yelling and that hurt your feelings... phew man life must be pretty hectic for you. If you are against addressing the core issues here, you skipping content in the game because you are lazy, then that's fine. Just own it already.

  • I get far more from speed-running than I do from killing everything under the sun in a strike. I'd rather have a guaranteed 1-3, sometimes 4 blues for 5-8 minutes (which is also my average, though it goes up to about 10 for the Mars/Archon priest one) of work. Less when I have 2 of my friends with me. Enjoy getting 100 kills and 1 blue while I get 20 and finish it in 5 minutes and get 3.

  • Except that doesn't happen. Great fantasy story. At best you MAY get 2 blues for rushing through. Try again.

  • Not sure if you're trolling or just unreasonably mad, but it's fact. I get 1-4 blue engrams per run of level 24 strikes. With 3 players it takes 6-10 minutes per (though we usually skip the Mars and Archon priest strikes).

  • Quite serious, but it's your story I'll let you tell it. On average you get 2 blues for beating the mission. By killing enemies everyone that dies you get RNG so ANY of them can drop a green, blue, or purple. Simple -blam!-ing fact, RNG only works by killing.

  • Considering it's also RNG on what rewards you get, keep on telling yourself you're right. I'll take my speed runs since I got my Hard Light out of em earlier today.

  • Even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Simple fact, numbnuts, if you don't kill shit you don't get engrams. There's a reason Bungie gives us guns.

  • How many blues and purple engrams do you still need? All gear from those gets broken down into more useless shards, which i have plenty of from the raid. Waste of time. Just need to finish the strike, check a box, etc.

  • Need? None. Want? All of them. Cryptarch hit 30 lastnight, everytime he goes up I get another chance at a purple which could turn into a yellow. Majority of all my items get broken down into materials. That then gets put into my raid gear and/or yellows. Same reason I just accepted my second thorn bounty. Already have it, but I'll do it anyways and give it to another character. Same reason I still level the vanguard up.

  • Tip for valus there are two barriers facing the far way of where he stands, like he's on the left there's a barrier on on right. Crouch there and ads to peek over and shoot when his rockets come don't ads and you're fine, keep an eye out for psions and if you have an ice breaker this would be all that much easier.

You're talking about the ramp next to the side that he stands on. In the corner on the outside of the ramp and you crouch and shoot the -blam!- out of him. His bullets or missiles all miss. Just like when he walks across the middle. I walk with him just close enough to where all his missiles miss me and light him up with machine gun.
