Destiny should have an exotic weapon that is a sword, Every person that I talk to tells me that the Sword of Crota is their favorite quest. Hunters certainly love it. However, everyone loves the way the sword looks on their character. Another comment that people say when I manifest this idea is: "that is way too OP." Well here's the thing about that, everyone considers something OP if it works for their enemy. Snipers, automatics, scout rifles, and....you guessed it, shotguns! No matter the weapon or even the way of playing (rushing, camping, teamwork, etc.), people will say it is OP and complain because it works. My main point is that adding a sword to the exotics will be an eye-catcher. It will be no more OP than shotguns, or snipers that kill you in 1-2 shots. Snipers can be destroyed by automatics from behind, shotguns, grenades, and melee up close, and even by other snipers. They aren't overpowered, people just need to play better. Shotguns are close-quarters weapons easily defeated by scout rifles, automatics, snipers from a distance, grenades, and yes even other shotguns. Swords are closer-ranged than shotguns, even if Bungie were to give them quick lunges. Which means they are more susceptible to the shotgun's weaknesses. It would not be anymore "overpowered" than anything else put into Destiny; but wouldn't our avatars look insane in Tower walking around with swords? Wouldn't it be awesome to be the swordsman that slays gun wielders, or even the "Greatest Swordsman" in the game? Everyone knows what happens when a person brings a knife to a gunfight. What happens when a guardian brings a sword to a gun war?
