Since I like to spend time just running around earth and Venus shooting everything in sight, I had a thought: What if there was a patrol world with enemies lvl 20+ and not the level players would be when the campaign brought them to said planet. This would probably encourage more people to play the patrol since there is now an added challenge to it. Another idea would be to increase the spawn rate of mini bosses. It sucks to grind out ~50 vandals just to find one reaver. What do you guys think?
Edit: Thanks for the feedback! Some possible additions could include fighting off the Darkness, possibly on Vex controlled Mercury, as well as visual effects of a storm, rain and general darkness. Another thing as mentioned in the OP is a big increase in yellow health enemies, a lot of you agree with that part. Last, if rep earned was increased it would make leveling vanguard much easier. Edit2: over 400 comments! Wow! Some more ideas are to add patrol gear, similar to raid gear that can bring you to lvl 30. Obviously it will be hard to get, but still attainable. Another point was raised that it would not require a whole lot of work on bungie's part since the map and enemies are just about ready. I wanna hear more ideas so we can make this happen!

Have it so that you could randomly encounter "expeditionary forces" of the different races on planets they aren't normally associated with, like the Cabal on the moon, or the Hive on Mars. Have full scale battles break out as pubic events, where endless enemies are spawned and guardians have to band together to hold them off for a set amount of time, while random high level variants supplement the normal enemies or low level variations of bosses occur, like a weaker devil walker or a strong ogre appear to harass the guardians. And if you want to make it even more chaotic, have multiple enemy factions be involved in the battles. Realistic damage dealt by enemies. Something similar to the void/arc/solar burn modifiers, to make it more challenging to survive in patrol so that I feel like I'm in the wastelands with a chance of dying.

I 've said this for a while now. But I think it should be like color coded like the ones that are there now are green. (Easy) then like orange for med. And red for hard. But make the hard ones really hard and make em nightfall.

Lol at patrol gear. May as well throw in tower afk gear to go along with it. Due to the way they scale shit, wouldn't you do the same damage to a 20 dreg as a level 5 dreg? Still one shot, etc, unless they were the yellow health bar enemies.

I kind of want a separate patrol for PvP. Rewards are a bit better and you'd have to keep your eyes on the horizon for any other Guardians, rather than doing flips all nilly-willy while Craigs and Scandals try to shoot you.

Great ideas. I definitely approve of rapidly progressing and changing situations, as well as intense combat, like war zones. Hopefully Bungie sees this!!

How about a patrol where it was every guardian (or fire team) for them self? So it would be like an open world PvP option where the beacons could give you missions like "kill 10 enemy guardians" or "collect 5 hunter cloaks". If you happened to be representing dead orbit the mission could be "collect x amount of opposing faction class items". The possibilities are endless.

If I don't like the item I get I can just dismantle said item to get the material after getting 2 primary engram(among other legendary engrams!) and hoping for an exotic or just a legendary auto rifle just to get material is pissing me off
