I've been using machine guns most of the game , like you get faaar more ammo obvs for them, and just seem to have a much wider use in play. But since I got truth and playing in the vault I've has to learn how to use rocket launches and it's much harder , expecially seeing as you can potentially blow yourself up if done wrong / unlucky like enemy get in the way. And ammunition is just practically non existent , even when you do get it , you can waste it . So I will go back to machine gun when there is a better exotic available , cause atm those 2 rocket launcher exotics along with icebreaker and vex mystoclast are way way way better than all other exotics and most legendarys

I love machine guns. Stopping power when they are coming at you is a great backup when your primary isnt stopping them. But my mate n i got to the end of a mission n i got out my trusty sniper rifle only to see the baddy explode when 2 rockets hit him! So i rushed out and brought xurs rocket launcher.so my advice?have one handy, just in case. But nothing better than having all 3 shield attack machine guns. Takes down shields and when hords of them running at ya :o)

Personally I wreck with a machine gun on pvp I've gone on A 10 kill streak with it. The thing about rockets is you get 2-3 shells depending on the rocket, with the machine gun you get from 35 to 100 depending on it and in my experience I've killed an enemy with maybe 5-7 well placed shots( chest and above)
