As new raids come out and the levels increase, will exotic gear become less favorable and used by people?
If you don't know already, when the new raid for the moon comes out the new max light level is supposedly 32. meaning that the new raid gear will have light levels above 30+, as exotics have 30 which won't make it possible to reach 32, you would need a full set of moon raid gear.
my idea on how to stop exotics from falling off and to keep them as exotics is to increase the armor rating and light as new raids are released, so they will always be top tier gear and won't fall out of place as destiny moves forward.
this is really the only possible solution to keeping exotics in their place and by that, you just have to give them more of a PvE defense buff and increase in light as higher light levels are to be achieved.

Edited by Olympicwolf: 10/21/2014 5:59:36 AMThey'll probably release a new, near impossible to get, material that upgrades the exotics even further. Something like this: http://destinygamewiki.com/wiki/Exotic_Armor_Shard

I believe they will increase the exotics to bump up people's levels ones the new dlcs comes out, just like they are about to do with the VEX Mythoclast

Bump for the morning, i would really like to see what people think of what will happen to exotic gear in the future, if it stays the same or if they decide to give them higher PvE buffs.

They will probably add a new type of armour which will be better than exotic so exotic is like the new legendary.
-
Who knows, they may simply add an NPC that can create extra armor upgrade slots on Legendary/Exotic armor to allow further increases in light level. I can't imagine current gear becoming entirely obsolete.

Bump for the night.
