Ever see an exotic drop in vanguard playlist? I haven't.

Before yesterday i would say no but played 12-15 tigerstrike yesterday and got both truth and the last word

2 RepliesEdited by Drakan: 11/9/2014 9:40:38 AMYup, last night I got Patience and Time at 12.20am from a Tiger strike (unfortunately I already had P&T and I even had it equipped on me fully upgraded). I started the strike when it was already half way through. Phogoth, Moon. I guess the other two team members were very angry with me. I have played almost 500 Tiger strikes and only been given two exotics: Plan C and P&T. I have seen two or three times others been given exotics. So I'd say that 1/100 Tiger strikes rewards an exotic to someone in the fireteam. BUT it's closer to 1/300 strikes in actually YOU being given the exotic reward. A total grind absolutely not worth the time. I have played over 400 Crucible matches and only been given an exotic once: Hard Light. I have seen like 8 times or more others been given exotics. Yesterday for example another player was given P&T in my team. I had racked up the highest kills and ranked first in K/D but the cursed RNG gave it to him who had a few kills and was like 0.6 K/D. From what I've seen in Crucible the exotics are normally given to players at the bottom of the list; only once did the top ranking player get something in my experience. So as you can see they are very rare. You are much better off earning strange coins and being patient waiting for Xur to sell the one you want. He will eventually sell them all (except Vex Mythoclast and the exotic-bounty related ones).

3 Replies[quote]list some you've seen[/quote] A mate of mine (Burkin714) was helping another mate (Underkill) level up another character yesterday and while doing a level 12 strike had a Purple drop. Chopped it in and got the last word. The morale being a Tiger strike does not mean better loot!

1 ReplyI've got one of [i]those[/i] stories. Think it was a Saturday and I figured I'll start it off with a strike. I hopped in on a Valus strike, and they were literally about to kill the boss. I managed to get to the boss room, pop off a few rounds and he died. At the rewards screen I saw that the Plan C has dropped for me. I could only feel the anger of the other two players I was with, hear them saying things like "What the -blam!- dude...". Felt bad that I didn't even want that...

Hell no, I still ain't seen a legendary drop from the vanguard playlists. I have still only ever had one legendary engram drop in my entire playing time. I'm a big fan of rng :)

today was a surprisingly good day i got two legendary engrams from tiger strike playlist even tho i had both items it was cool and exciting to get them. but back to the OP. i actually witnessed a guy who joined into the sepiks prime strike at the beggining of the boss battle get mida multi tool... i was so pissed since i did the rest of the strike alone -___-

Got The Last Word today playing tiger strikes for marks. Got dust palace three times in a row, almost bailed on the 2nd one but didn't want to be a dick to my teammates and lo and behold TLW pops up as my reward after we finish it. Totally didn't mind running it the third time after that.

Had the bad juju bounty and I can safely say 25 tiger strikes later 2 legendary that turned into shards and no exotics
