Has anyone found a use for Universal Remote?
So I just got one of those lucky moments seeing my first legendary engram in weeks... And it turns in to an exotic! As you can expect I was over the moon... Until I tried it...
I simply don't get it... What is the point of a primary shotgun with a slow fire rate? Shotguns are useless in PvE and for PvP you basically give up use of any AR, Handcannons, etc. meaning you are quite limited in your utility... I'd much rather use my hard light and a legendary shotgun...
Am I missing something here? Does this have some wonderful niche use or does it become viable for PvE and slightly more useful at range when upgraded?
Edit: General consensus seems to be that it's going in the bank! I'll stick to my Hard Light. Thanks guys. didn't want to give it up if there was any chance of it not being useless as it looks great...

Its range upgrades make it awesome for both pvp and pve, it's just bad when you start out

Often in Halo I would roll with a sniper/shotgun combo. It was beast.

I dismantled mine. First time I've done it with an exotic, even though I didn't like it or use it I felt.. bad dismantling it.

I like it for pvp, two shot at a systems and one shot up close for kills, plus I can use another shotgun as a secondary to avoid the long reload times when a grip of enemies is in front of me

Weapons parts and Ascendant Energy. :) Didn't like it. It's useless in PvE and isn't any better as secondary shotty's in PvP.

It's alright but I am disappointed with it. If it was also a single slug while along down the sights I'd like it better. With only a slightly tighter spread the range doesn't do much more than a regular shotgun for easier kills in the crucible.

I had it, it was my first exotic. I hate shotguns. I recently broke down all my exotic's and legendary gear that I didn't use for parts.

From what I've heard, and after examining/upgrading the stats on mine... it is a Crucible weapon. You never really run out of primary weapon ammo in crucible... I know I never have. Special ammo, what regular shotguns use, require you to go to the crates. Since this is a primary weapon, you don't need to. Plus, it can get a good amount of range. Probably the best shotgun in the game.

It's sitting in my inventory, don't have any use for it in PVE or PVP.
