Strikes and the Teleporting Melee Adds

You know, I've not found much I'm peeved with. I haven't yelled about OP weapons, haven't screamed about Bladedancers and haven't had an issue with Nightfall (Though starting me at the beginning would be nicer than making me have to slowly pick it again and go through all the loadscreens again.) but I've finally hit my limit. Why is it, when you're playing a strike and you've found a nice defensive place that you've been locking enemies out of for some time, does the game just go ahead and make it okay to teleport enemies to you when they think you aren't looking? Has anyone else noticed this? For example, I was just now playing the nightfall strike. I was soloing it, not something I usually do, but I felt I knew the tricks of the trade when it came to Sepiks Prime and his Minions and could do it. I get to the first roadblock, the blocked off tunnel. After letting Dinklebot start hacking the terminal while I kill the exact number of sacrifices he needs to finish the job, I take up post on the top walk way. I'm dodging fire, holding off those who jump to me and bolting when a grenade falls next to me. I'm doing pretty good. Second wave comes. You know, the one where they introduce the invisible snipers and the dozen or so melee-centric vandals. The annoying wave. Anyway, I pick off the snipers, my first priority as they deal an insane amount of damage, and move on to handling everyone else. A few jumpers get to the walkway, but I handle them as quickly as they got there. Meanwhile, a gaggle of melee guys have taken up a post just out of view below. I'd watched them go there, so I was content to let them sit; If they tried to jump up, I'd see them. Partway through picking people off,I take a bit more damage than I'd like and cower behind the crate that covers me enough to avoid fire. I'm watching that walkway jump like a hawk, thinking "If I were me, I'd be taking this chance to bum rush me while my shields are low." As I sit, watching with bated breath, the unthinkable happens... I'm killed in one maybe more melee swipes. From behind me. Now, I say maybe more because as my camera panned around to show my killer, there were FOUR enemies behind me: three Melee Vandals and one Dreg for shits and giggles I guess. "Where in the hell did they come from?" I thought aloud, with an emphasis on the "Loud" part. With a look of Fury on my face, I was then unceremoniously returned to orbit and left to stew in my anger. Now. I am a reasonable man. I can take difficult games. I get angry yes, but most times I can come down to the conclusion that it was my own lack of skill, or an approach I didn't pay attention to that got me killed or made me lose. Those things, I can handle. This, however, I cannot handle. Blatantly teleporting them behind me because "Why the hell not" does not make difficulty. It makes for a cheap experience where you die not because of your inability to know your situation and handle it or for you aiming skills, but the game felt that you being alive was just not something it wished to have anymore. You died because the game willed it. This isn't the first time I've seen this, I do have an Xbox One clip showing another instance where I saw a knight transport itself clear across the summoning pit to harass my friend after killing me. Hell, that clip wasn't even on nightfall. Just regular old strikes. Now tell me, has anyone else seen something like this? Where, by the will of the same gods that probably speak to Rahool in the night, you're killed by the impossible? Frankly, I'd like to see it addressed, but I don't think it will get anywhere. It seems to be part of the game, for some strange reason. EDIT: Here's a link to the summoning pits clip. Skip to around 15 seconds and make sure to be ready to hit that volume button, as it was pretty loud when I viewed it. Website is XboxClips.com, in case you're worried about the site. No bad stuff, just a nifty way to view Xbox One clips on PC with little hassle.

 • The enemies warping in from behind you is normal on that mission, it's not really a glitch so much as something that simply happens. If you watch your radar you have a bit of time after they spawn to kill them before they can attack you.
