Through a little work (inputted an alternate MAC address, used the one from my phone) I got the hotel's wifi working for my Xbox - everything seems to work except for Destiny which gives the dreaded "No Internet Connection Found" error with the code: canary.
I've tried cold reboots and a bunch of other things that are mostly fiddling with network settings and cold rebooting the Xbox One but nothing seems to have worked.
If it was every game I would just be resigned to it not working, but the fact that every other multiplayer game, streaming video, internet explorer, downloading games, literally EVERYTHING else except for Destiny works, there's gotta be a fix for this.
I'm here for several weeks, any help?

I'm at work right now but I'll try this when I get back to the hotel. I'll change my PC MAC address to mimic the xbox one address. accept accept the terms on the hotels site and then disconnect my PC and attempt to connect the xbox one. Here is how to find your xbox one MAC address: “Try to connect to the network and it will fail choose Fix It and then it will attempt to diagnose the issue. When that fails, it will bring you to a screen prompting you to manually set up the connection, listing both the wireless and wired MAC address. Record the Wired MAC Address" This site explains how to change your PC's Mac Address: http://www.howtogeek.com/192173/how-and-why-to-change-your-mac-address-on-windows-linux-and-mac/

Ditto, surprising that everything else works, excited to hear if anyone figures it out

This is the worst. I had luck a few times but the process was tedious. Completely unconnected xb1... changed mac adress, connected to internet with phone, connect with xb1, turned off wi-fi on phone, then plugged in ethernet cable, then turned wi-fi back on with phone. Got it. Dropped a few times but still got to play. Now im at another hotel and this solution dosent work. Playstation owners in the same hotel can bring up the sign in page thru browser and just effin play. Wtf xb1? This really needs to be changed! #help #destiny #canary #hotel #bullshit

OK, here is the issue, which I have not figured out the solution to yet. When you input the alternate MAC address to fool the hotel internet, your XBox is attempting to connect to Destiny using that alternate MAC address, instead of the one that Destiny has listed as authorized. In order to make it work a way to authorize the XBox's MAC address to the hotel internet has to be figured out.

The hotel management may be limiting p2p traffic or traffic in general. Also, if the wifi signal has poor upload speeds then Destiny will have problems. Talk to the hotel manager about this.

I ran into this as well. Literally everything else works. Did anyone ever find a solution to this?

Ditto on that. Seriously. I brought my xbox one specifically to play Destiny and it is the only thing that isn't working on my one!

Same thing here
