Tons of Server Drops, No End in Sight

Bungie, I know I'm not alone, but I'm getting multiple failures every day, most saying Zebra, but with a smattering of Bees and others. To put it in perspective, out of a two hour playing session, I'll get kicked as many as six or seven times. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when it happens, although it does seem to happen more often when I'm in the Crucible or on a Strike. Over the past several days, I think I've successfully finished two Crucible rounds out of five or six attempted. I'm frankly almost out of patience. I really enjoy the game when it works, but it's working so rarely and inconsistently that I'm seriously considering putting it away and never coming back. I love what you do; Halo is probably my all time favorite video game series. Please fix this series of problems. I don't want to give up on you, but you're getting close to losing a customer who's been with you since the Xbox came out.

  • #$!$%@#$@%$#@$..... seriously? SERIOUSLY?!?! I'm literally listening to the Sepkis Prime explosion sound during the weekly heroic for a bounty BY MYSELF without dying ONCE and then you drop me with a Zebra error and I get NO credit for it... 42 minutes of solid game time and zip, nada, zilch... That is, by far, the closest I have ever come to just slamming down my controller in utter frustration. What is going to take folks? You spent Dev, QA, and provisioning cycles on deploying patches to stop whiners in PVP but you can't fix the most devastating Sev1 bug I've ever seen come out on a commercially released game? SERIOUSLY?!

    • Gametag, suckerpunch509 Xbox1 Error code mongoose Haven't been able to find any info on this error code. Cant get into crucible cant see other players unless on their fire team. I am hard wired to router, have open nat, and have port forwarded. Any help is appreciated. I still think this is a great game despite issues.

      • As like hundred others this is also happening to me. Completely unable to do raids/Group content or pvp. Managed to complete 4-5 Pvp matches in the last 48 hours out of around 25-30 Ive logged into..... Basically whatever you guys have done recently to "fix" issues can you undo them, or at the least make it so that when you re-connect you can go back into the match or group you were in before the server booted you for no reason. Back to my Bad Juju grinding.... good job I dont need to complete the games for this or get a stupid K/D ratio etc etc

      • I have had so many problems, I got the game six days ago and i haven't play since 3 because each time I try to get into the game appears Error ZEBRA... Everything starts when I played a online game.... #Bungie hasn't answerd any of my questions and i want some garanty about this game....

      • What modem/router do you use? I have a UBEE (modem/router combo). They don't seem to work well because combos are horrible for gaming and dont forward ports correctly. I had to put my UBEE in bridge mode and connect it to a Netgear router. Bridgemode makes the combo act as a modem only (disabling the router side). This worked for fixing my caterpillar and hawk errors I was getting constantly. I've played on and off all day and havent been DC'd once.

      • Never had problems before the patch. Since the patch, it's exactly as bad as you've described.

        Dude, well put. I expect better of Bungie.. the dev who helped pioneer matchmaking and the hopper tech. What gives?? I've done absolutely everything i can on my end! I'm not an moron when it comes to networking either. Its ridiculous how many time i'm kicked to the title screen let alone orbit because of every network error the game has. Bee errors out the friggin wazzoo! It just get worse with every single update. Crucible i can't even finish a match. Tower, strikes, pretty much anything social i can guarantee i WILL get kicked at least once. It even messes with xbox live! party chat breaks when I get zebra or any other complete disconnect from bungie server error. I can play any other game without issue. I have opened every port they say too, have hard reset my equipment more times than i can count. Ping is below 50, open NAT, 8mbs hardwired connection with CAT6 cable, and i'm the only one and only thing connected to my network! I just don't understand! i literally cannot play the game.... for crying out loud the beta only ever kicked my once!! EDIT: yesterday morning i finished my first Crucible match in a long ass time. Now, this morning I can't even seem to take two steps in the tower without getting kicked. I'll never finish Toland's Legacy at this rate -____-

        • The server issues of getting kicked were much improved until this week's update, and now they seem to be worse than they were before the first server fix. I dropped twice on my raid yesterday, and routinely get dropped once or twice an hour. I really like the game and see the potential it has for future add-ons and DLC so I REALLY want these server issues fixed. I don't say this to just be another complainer but these other folks are correct, it tries one's patience to continually grind through a strike or public event only to be dropped before getting the rewards. I know it isn't my connection or my ISP because I can play Titanfall or Battlefield 4 for hours and hours and NEVER get booted from their servers. The problem has to be on Bungie's end. Please fix this so we can enjoy the game.

            I'm pretty sure the hard working networking engineers @Bungie are doing plenty of shuffling around to solve these errors. Please be patient as to note that not every aspect of network scripting works in complete harmony with the world wide web.

              Same here on the Strikes and PVP games ,i can play solo all day now and only have 3 to 4 DC and TBH it will soon go for sale if i can't play them , i'm not paying for half a game, not much point grinding for better gear if i can't use it . As for the vault of glass .... i'll have to forget about it, if even a small 15 min game has problems there is no point in trying and allways being the pr--k that gets disconnected.

              Just got dropped halfway through nightfall :(. There isn't a timer on it correct? Just got booted to main menu (didn't show any error), was playing solo.

            • I used to just get bee errors in 6v6. The last few days I'm getting bee, zebra and baboon. I'd say things are getting worse not better!

            • Same here. Baboon, Elk, some other strange name all say its because of tethering over a cell phone. I do not have a cell phone, I am hard wire into the DSL as recommended. Actually the disconnects were better until the recent update. Not sure why but Bungie needs to fix asap instead of pointing fingers back at the players.

            • I agree with those who have posted prior to me. Trying to play mid day when my kids having a nap and I'm getting dropped. I can't imagine what it must be like playing at peak times. Bungie this is a huge negative from what I have found to be an enjoyable game. But like others my frustration is getting higher. Please fix this problem. Not everybody's router or wifi is to blame.

            • Getting entirely too frustrated over the kicks. As with everyone else, I can play any other game with no problems. I know it is not my end. I can not even attempt to do a crucible because it kicks me 100% of the time, so I was trying to hang in there and do the missions, vanguard rep. Decided to try the weekly 28 Strike. Halfway through I get zebra. 40 mins of time gone... closed it out after that.. it shouldn't be this bad. I would keep trying to "tough it out" but I am hearing nothing from Bungie on the issue other than.. "It's your ISP, Router, Wifi, or possibly changes in the stock market".

              • game kicks me out to the starting screen, saying no network detected, but my connection is splendid. Than I can return to the game, wait for the loginscreen to disappear, then look on the friendslist, wait a few seconds than login to their game if its not full...thats shit... AND I did not see the spaceships of my friends than after the first login again i dont see mine too
