Edit6: Incase you lack reading skills, I made sure to write the one sentence YOU had to respond to and be done with it. Here ya go, do ya'll think it's okay to do this?
Original post: Do ya'll think it's okay to do this? It's possible to get at least 9 or more strange coins a week if each character does the weekly strike. I remember when strange coins where difficult to get. Mmh... This makes buying exotics from Xur way easier making them less "exotic." I use to be okay with buying things with strange coins, now Im starting to be against it since it's simple with the way people are doing it.
Edit1: Read D8thman's comment and don't bitch at me for assuming that im bitching.
Edit2: Okay too many people don't know how to read and answer a question. Im not complaining, Im not asking for a nerf, not asking for a change, just read and you're done. Continue your life. All of you who like to give people shit for things they say are an embarrassment to the human mind.
Edit3: I forgot to thank everyone was nice enough to reply their thoughts without being rude. I had a good time reading your thoughts and made me glad to have enjoyed that small amount of discussion that existed momentarily.
Edit4: I was getting a ton of crap for bringing up something that's old. I know, I wanted to talk to others and have their input to why they do this and perhaps get some of their thoughts on Xur's system. I myself have 2 characters and run the weekly strikes.
Edit number -blam!-ing 5: The only one's bitching here are you morons pointing it out and complaining by assuming that I was asking for whatever you dont want. Stop being idiots cause all you're doing is bringing attention to a problem I didnt even mention in my post. Swear, you'd think the OP would be the cause of problems but it's obviously the dummasses that comment.

Honestly I think that they shouldn't have engrams or strange coins. I would much rather it just be really really hard tasks that you have to complete. If all the exotics were like the bounty exotics, I think it would be more fair because you can just get lucky or cheat the system. You'd have to actually go a complete a series of tasks and then everyone would know that you actually earned it, not just sat in a crucible control lobby for 7 hours until it popped up.
-
I personally thing it is ok. People that have a problem with it call it an exploit when in reality it isn't, it's a game mechanic. the people who have a problem with it say things like "Hopping characters to get strange coins is cheating! you didn't earn it!" Well, think of each character as a "Job" you work one job, you get paid, you go to your next job and work that, you get paid...did you not earn that second pay? did you still not work to get that "reward"?
-
If your a true gamer you'd know there's a trophy for having maxed a class with each character, they want you to make three characters, you loot locked for the week after completing the events. This option is the same for everyone. Your rewarded for playing this game three times over. No nerf is needed. You know what you should do. Make another character, or go play borderlands
-
Everyone can level three characters and grind. If people are willing to put in the extra mile to get anything out of the game by all means go right ahead. It doesn't affect my gameplay whatsoever if people want 3 lvl 28+.
-
lol. I have a warlock a hunter and a titan, I made each class to try all of them out. So if the game gives coins just got completing a strike, why wouldn't I do it, 3 times?
-
I already have a hunter and a warlock, both lvl 28 and will start a titan tomorrow. The reason for this was that I got to a point where I received legendary armor not suitable for my first char, the hunter, so that I thought eff it, start a warlock and use that stuff. Also, the possibility to do Weekly heroic, nightfall and vault of glass with all three chars each week and receive more strange coins and gear than only with one char is great but don't forget that it takes additional effort and time to do so. Even more so because most of us have 'normal' lives with a job, friends and family etc.as well...

5 RepliesPeople on this forum cry and whine about everything. Give it a break. Not trying to be rude but they just nerfed everything, now you don't want to be able to earn coins in the way that makes the most since. I mean come on. You guys won't stop until this game isn't worth playing anymore. And believe me that time is coming very fast.

1 ReplyThis is what you call "earning" right Case closed
-
5 RepliesOnly bothers me because it is yet ANOTHER advantage those with large friend lists on their system have over the solo crowd
-
We do it fit strange coins. Why did this need a thread?
-
It is ok to do that.
-
5 RepliesEat a giant piece of floppy man meat, you whiner. We grinded through extra hours just to get these strange coins. Drink the chemicals under your sink if you don't think we earned it. Do it yourself
-
Honestly, I always had an abundance of them before I had my second 20 character. Usually enough to buy two things from him, now I just have a stockpile of coins and energy. ;.;

Edited by oPROFESSIONALo: 10/15/2014 12:21:54 PMYes you're bitching cause you brought this up for bungie to -blam!- up. Something's are meant to be talked over with yourself ass.
-
They were always the same difficulty to get, you are just a higher level now and are smart at playing a game which is based around progression, congrats
-
Where is this guy?
-
I don't think so, true at the beginning people who had enough coins to get items at Xur's shop the first time he arrived were envied, but these people ARE working for it. They took the time to get adjusted to each character, level them, gear them, and then do the missions.
-
1 ReplyI only do it if I have gear that isnt good enough for enemies and activities Im taking on. Plus, it would be easy anyway. Just keep doing Vanguard Tiger and decrypt those Decoherent Engrams. They net some Strange Coins easily(If you are level 24+)
-
2 RepliesUnpopular opinion may cause hate but it's still an opinion. I for one agree with you, exotics shouldn't be bought, they should be earned. When you hit level 27/28 the weekly and nightfall are easy, more so when you hit 29/30. As much as I love all the strange coins, I don't think the rarest things in the game so be so easily obtainable! Doesn't that make them less rare???
-
i've worked really hard to level up my 3 characters, i think i've earned it! you still have do the actual weekly heroic with each character to get the coins, it's not easy
-
Edited by xCMOx: 10/15/2014 9:35:06 AMSo what your saying is I bought this game turned it on and I automatically had 3 lvl 30 toons.... I didn't level them I didn't grind gear for them I didn't grind the raids with my buddies and I didn't grind any coins for weps and gearz. It just popped into my vault and I got it and had a blast...... eat shit crybaby. Go back to your silly cod game. Also I never solod the night falls for any of my exotics. I also got exotic bounties but they were completed for me when I got em so I turned them in. I didn't earn shit in this game. I love not doing nothing and having it handed to me!!! Please give me my cake now!!!!

2 RepliesActually we have the potential of earning 27 coins weekly from the heroic strikes. If you have three characters, and they are all trained up high enough to do the heroic strike on level 28, that's 9 coins each for a grand total of 27 weekly. I do this myself as often as I'm able because the rng system simply does not favor me. Also, it's an option that is available to everyone to help them progress. I believe it's even encouraged so people put in the time, and try out the other classes. I think the reason you might also be getting so many harsh responses is because someone else made a post much earlier, and the OP labeled the topic "vault strange coins cheating fix this", or something like that... I went and read that post, really he was complaing about how people pool their characters resources together on their account vault, and calling it cheating when it isn't. I do believe the game was designed this way on purpose. He was just upset because he refuses to make other characters and do what it takes to max out his potential for earning strange coins, so he isn't getting as many coins as the people who do put in that extra mile. The problem was that he was trying to push to have the game changed, making it worse for everyone else, and the community gave it to that OP. Hard. I think maybe people are thinking your post is more of the same, and are worried bungie might seriously consider nerfing the game for us even more.
-
I don't even bother doing the weekly strikes anymore, i just wait till Friday, if there is something cool to buy from Xur, i would go and do 2 or 3 runs, if not it's aright. Just let the people gear up and make whatever next OP item to be harder to get with some nerf-shield so is worth getting.
-
I don't mind. Kudos to anyone playing 3 characters and getting them high level enough to play weekly lvl28.
-
I see your point BUT this is something everyone can do. Do you even know how boring it is to do first nightfall three times and then weekly heroic three times. Its a pain but now I have 67 coins so thats nice. You are welcome to do it yourself. Fastest way is to make 3 same characters and switch gear but I recommend using all three classes. Its refreshing to use different playstyles and supers.
