Vex Mythoclast Nerf and Buff explained!! [Old Thread]
Everyone be complainin' about the Mytho-nerf. It is well needed. I think people overestimate exactly how much it will effect people.
The Clast took 4 shots to kill.
Reduce damage dealt by 1/3.
Guardians have around 200 health.
200/4 = 268/x
(x being the required number of shots.)
The Vex Mythoclast CURRENTLY can kill as fast as a Heavy Machine Gun in 4 shots (in about 1 second if all shots are on point... which they are...)
With the patch, the Clast will kill in...
5.36 Shots... an increase of 1.36 -blam!-ing shots...
They also buffed its Crit Multiplyer (from 1.25 to 1.5).
STOP YOUR DAMNED COMPLAINING and START GETTING DEM HEADSHOTS!!

It seems as though people are VERY worried about the nerf's and buff's effects upon PvE.
Major complaints include a significantly reduced DPS versus hardened (no crit points) targets such as Praetorians.
Another complain is that reserve ammo is already VERY low... which does such for a Primary... so... perhaps a buff to Reserves??? As that will really not effect PvP in the slightest most games???

1 ReplyDon't jump to bungies defense on this astronomical mistake, it's as simple as separating weapon damage from pvp and pve. I.E. Putting a buff/perk on the mythoclast that does an extra 34% DMG to non-gaurdians would be an easy fix but they won't do it. Literally worse than any legendary gun you can find, atheons epilogue out damages by a shit ton

24 RepliesIt should beat every gun in the game given thats its the hard modes most difficult reward to get! and people forget that this game is not halo, or call of duty! ITS AN MMORPG, and like KoTOR and WOW its all about your gear, your weapons, everything should be taken into account and if you have earnt the best armor and the best guns then you have the advantage in pvp, by all means NERF the damage in crucible, but NOT IN IRON BANNER AND PVE!! Bungie needs to stop listening to noobs and educate you on how an MMORPG is supposed to be and stop trying to find a perfect balance!!! because from now until the end, everything worth working for in this game is just gonna get nerfed!

1 ReplySeparate out PvP and PvE so that people no longer feel the need to get Exotics nerfed. The Vex Myth is meant to be the Exotic flagship but it's been neutered by the PvP players and now no longer shines in PvE. If PvP and PvE were separate and had their own weapons everyone would be happy.

2 RepliesThe game isn't focused on PVP. The gun is crap now in PVE.. The Vision of Confluence is stronger than the Vex-mytho.. And that shouldn't be the case. It is an exotic, it now handles like a maxed out rare. PVP players are ruining the game for PVE players.

2 Repliesi think the mythoclast should have stayed the same maybe decreased the mag size from 54 to 36 (witch they did) btw:considering you have the perk. but they should have increased the ammo capacity but other than that i think the mythclast should have stayed the same i mean the gun is pretty hard to get ive done the raid 5 times on hard and have not got the mythoclast yet

2 RepliesYes please return It to its former glory. It is a hard gun to get and if you have it flaunt it. I worked hard to get mine and now I rarely use it. The best geared players have earned the right to destroy others as they put the time and effort in. Reward them with the ability to destroy everything with the super weapon they earned. Not deny them because people that don't have it and won't put in the time to earn it.

No they need to return the gun to its original glory and buff the shotguns supers snipers melee and rockets 4 hit kill bullshit stop your complaining every 1 hit kill weapon is OVERPOWERED AND NEEDS BUFFED

Why is that players complain about the gun being overpower. Its an exotic for most high sake. And its the ones who dont have it or recieved it yet that complain the most. Bungie buff the gun back up for pvp and pve. And let xur have it on sale lets see what people will say when they are getting killed by a "bad seed" "galahad and doctor nope. I just got and im not ok with it. Because I cant enjoy the gun. Bungie buff and dont let noobs dictate the outcome of pvp or pve. You did great with halo and your doing great with destiny. Buff the vex and lets call it a day. P.s when you come out with the dlc in the next raid are you gonna nerf that gun as well because of noobs.

If u use it on the vex and crit them it gets higher hit points then any other enemy type just got mine from Atheon and used it on mars against cabal and it dropped 263 crit then vex 463 no lie, it was a heroic mission when I used it so yes use it in the VoG

Yep more ammo would be great honestly I run out of ammo with it very quickly but I think the damage is just right and it's really cool to look at.

8 RepliesThe hardest weapon to obtain should be the best weapon to use in Iron Banner and PvE. It should not be outclassed by faction weapons, as it is now in both Iron Banner and Crucible as well as PvE. I'm all for a buff.

Pvp yeah fair enough, I just got mine today and I can still do well in iron banner un upgraded. That said though I've noticed suros does outclass it which isn't right. If xur hadn't sold suros it might not be such an issue but how do you fix that? Pve it definitely needs more ammo full stop.

They nerfed it almost 50% Go to the search bar and type in "Vex Mythoclast nerfed more than 34%" You can see all the facts their, along with screenshot and such.

2 RepliesWhy does nobody bring up that my Vex Mythoclast can only hold 168 rounds, 56Clip 112Reserve... Suros does more damage and has over 3x the max ammo of the VM.

17 RepliesConsidering how hard players have to work to get the Vex Mythoclast, I think its pretty stupid how badly they nerfed it. I agree with thier PvP nerf, it was way OP, but they shouldnt have nerfed its PvE dmg.. I can barely 1 shot a level 2 dreg with a crit.
