Titan + Hand Cannon = Rare?
I play as a Titan and I'm trying to broaden my horizons by starting to use HCs. It seems as though Titans and HCs don't mix. Does anyone use them as Titans? Any good tips, and HCs I can look to buy?

I use a handcannon almost all the time. It would be all the time if my hand cannon was a higher level. Two head shots to take down one person is sweet, especially if you're a really accurate person.

My Titan is rocking a Fatebringer, and Im really starting to like it. More fun to play with then my Suros.

Edited by SepticGiraffe1: 10/13/2014 5:44:07 AMNah they actually synergize well. Strikers' melee takes out about 75% of a guardian's health and most handcannons can take out about 25% per shot. Handcannons excel at being able to land hits without aiming down sights. This means you can run at an enemy without having to aim down sights, land a shot or two, and punch them to death. Works well.

3 RepliesI use my Thorn almost exclusively. Have almost 15,000 kills with it. The best tip is to have good aim and aim high man. Practice makes perfect. Once you perfect the art of hand cannon, you wont use anything else.

I used The Devil You Know for awhile. It was the first legendary I ever got. Upgraded it for awhile. I have an auto rifle also though. I like to switch based on what I'm doing.

I use the Devil You Know since I got it from an engram. When I first got it I was like "oh god my first legendary weapon is this piece of shit?" I couldn't have been more wrong. I wreck with the thing fully upgraded now. Hand Cannons are underestimated. They are extremely powerful and can one shot most basic enemies. Dregs, goblins, etc. Being a good shot at close range will make most enemies drop quickly.

I use the HC sometimes. I got a random exotic one.... So I feel obligated to use it now.

Defender Titan with fully upgraded The Last Word, I use it often.

I use the Hand Cannon regardless of what class I am because it just feels natural to me.

I'm a Titan and I rock Venation III from time to time. Just got pin down those precision shots.

Since the classes don't have any weapon bonuses, penalties, or skills that affect weapon performance, any class can use any weapon to the same effectiveness as anyone else. You're not as rare as you think. Handcannons are the best weapons for PVE. I just did a strike with a couple full auto users and I had almost as many kills as them combined (I finished with 110 and the 2nd place guy had 64) . While that's not totally typical, I will still outkill anyone I'm grouped with who's not also using a hand cannon. You can pop heads a lot faster than anyone using any other type of weapon. It's a shame the scout rifle packs such a weak punch, so hand cannon is at the top of the food chain right now....in PVE.

Any gun can be used with any class. I just prefer to have a rapid fire gun that can also double as a precision weapon.

I use a Hand Cannon as a Titan and it is my favorite weapon. Regulator Mk. 65, amazing range, impact, and 11 rounds per magazine

Hand cannons and shotguns work well together. I've used them on my titan quite a bit.

I used to use my primary hand cannon, but since i got my Ice Breaker i use it all the time cause its in essence a hc in steroids, with a scope, and infinite :D

Gunslinger has Gunslinger's Trance, makes hand cannons so much better.

Lord High Fixer with my Titan, absolute beast of a gun. Right now I'm hoping to get Thorn or The Devil You Know.
