ok, so i participated in the alpha, and the beta, and i've been playing the retail version since launch day...i've noticed some issues. [b] Issue One: Missing Dead Ghosts.[/b] So i've seen it reported by others that there are at least two dead ghosts that are glitched, and don't populate on the maps for some people. These are the RAS bunker ghost on earth, and the freehold station ghost on mars..i can personally attest to the RAS bunker one...i'm not sure on the freehold one, because i'm still in the process of hunting them all down. These dead ghosts are tied to specific grimoire cards...without them, there are gaps in the grimoire...this isn't cool. I've seen the issue mentioned, but i don't think i've ever seen it officially addressed by anyone at Bungie. so i gotta ask; "Are you guys gonna do anything to fix this?" i'd like to complete my grimoire. [b]Issue Two: Iron Banner.[/b] Now, DeeJ addressed this, and i found his post/explanation/excuse to be kinda bogus....like a halfassed whitewash of what is kind of a big deal for high-level players. We expected Iron Banner to be a treat for us....a place where level 20+ players could come together, with our best gear, and weapons, and beat the piss out of one another, with all balancing limitations turned off. This turns out to not be the case, as another forum user demonstrated just how easy it is for a level four character, with starter armor, and weapons (literally the stuff fabricated for him by his ghost) to completely destroy 20+ players with far better armor and weapons. I'm trying to be taken serious here, but i gotta say...this, quite frankly, is bulls**t. The explanation that there are still limitations, and balancing, to allow lower level players to compete, is horribly disappointing....i think it's the view, generally speaking, of the level 20+ players that the lower level players aren't SUPPOSED to be able to compete against us in Iron Banner...this mode is supposed to be something special, for us....the below-20 crowd has the whole rest of the crucible, and it's assorted regular modes... Additionally, the rewards for competing in Iron Banner, are equally pathetic.... Maybe a blue engram, or a blue gun, and MAYBE, very RARELY(really, as it should be) some sort of purple item... But mostly, it's just useless crap, that i end up recycling, and the engrams end up being a waste, because of the next issue... [b]Issue Three: The mother@&%$ing Cryptarch.[/b] and as i said in another thread; let's not forget that master of trolls, the Cryptarch.... Now, i know Cayde had a sit down with the Cryptarch, had a discussion involving a bag of doorknobs...but that doesn't seem to have cured him of his infuriating, trollish ways... I'm currently level 15 or 16 with the cryptarch, so it's fair to say that i've brought him A LOT of engrams. I get the same crap from him, no matter how many engrams i bring in...it's like a loop of the same s**tty gear, useless weapons, and titan marks i already have. i brought him 6 blues for secondary weapons...what did i get? i s**t you not, i got 6 of the exact same sniper rifle....EVERY piece of armor is knight series, and every single titan mark is either "mark of the six fronts", "mark of the bulwarks", or "mark of the pilgrim guard". and, recently, every legendary i've brought him, he's turned into a piece of kit for classes other than the character i'm using. blues don't get turned into goddamn warlock and hunter armor, why are my purples getting turned into s**t i can't use? So, despite Cayde's friendly chat, it seems the Cryptarch is still actively cheating us......i think Cayde needs to pay him another visit...perhaps a broken leg or two will convince him to make some life changes... (i would honestly laugh my ass off, if the cryptarch was in a wheelchair, or on crutches with a cast for a while) [b]Issue Four: Timed Exclusive Content.[/b] Now, i know this is something of a touchy bit, for the XBox crowd, but seriously guys(and girls), you got THE ENTIRE Halo franchise....why waste your time and energy crying bloody murder over TIMED exclusives? you're gonna get the stuff...it's not as if you're being excluded forever..... But that's not what i wanted to talk about, regarding the exclusives.....what i wanted to talk about is "where the hell are they?" Been trying my damnedest to acquire ANY of the exclusive stuff (ships, weapons, armor), and i haven't gotten a single piece... How do you go about getting them? are they special rewards for special missions? Are they crucible rewards? are they completely random, from engrams in the field? are they not available until the first comet expansion? What is the deal? I'd honestly love a Hawkmoon, a set of Vanir armor, and one of those pretty ships..... [b]Issue Five: The Companion App[/b] It's broken. I don't know how else to start this....it's just broken. On my character's stats, it says i'm level 19, when i'm actually 20, then it lists how much light i have, and then incorrectly reports my progression between level 27(where i'm at now), and level 28 (where i will be, after i do a couple more armor upgrades). It doesn't seem to be correctly reporting everything, which means, if i want to check these things, i hafta log into the game...not a big deal, since i really enjoy playing, but kind of a hassle, when you want to grab your stats real quick for a forum post, only to find they're wrong. Alternatively, the stats can be checked via the site, but then, what's the point of the app? A quick check shows that the Bungie site is correctly reporting all stats and figures, and the app is not. Additionally, there should be a way to check your faction/vendor level progress from the app...like, for instance, your Cryptarch level, or Vanguard level, etc....this would be very convenient, and i'm honestly surprised it's not in there somewhere, given all the other character information it gives you. [b]Issue Six: Crucible Playlists.[/b] Now, i've spent most of my Crucible time playing Iron Banner(much to my frustration, as you all know), but even in the few Crucible matches i did before Iron Banner started, i've had an issue with the map playlist.... EVERY time i go to play some Crucible/Iron Banner, i'm either on Mars, or Venus......and it'll do Mars or Venus a few times, then maybe i get a map on Earth, and then it's back to Mars or Venus... i haven't seen the moon map (i believe it's called "first light") in the rotation but ONCE, and that was weeks ago....i personally find the Mars maps to be the most annoying maps in the rotation, with "shores of time" a close second. "Rusted lands" is also pretty awful....i enjoy "Twilight Gap", "First Light", and "Exodus Blue"(only seen that one twice). In moderation, the annoying ones are tolerable, but when they keep playing over and over, it makes me wanna launch my controller at the TV, on a wave of profanity.... Why is there so much bias in the playlist toward the Mars maps, and specific ones from Venus, and Earth? I'm pretty sure these are all this issues i had...and i gotta say; despite all these things, at least it's not Driveclub, lol.
