3.2 MILLION A DAY! Hey you ignorant babies what your thought on that?
So to the babies crying and whining Destiny is dead, Destiny won't make it until '15, all their invisible friends are leaving what is your twist on the actual facts?
Destiny averages 3.2 million players each and every day!
Average playtime is still right around 3 hours a day, even on weekdays, one month after launch.
The average player plays Destiny 1.8 times a day.
The average player has played Destiny 20.9 times.
Over the past three weeks, we’ve had more players online in Destiny than we did during the same span for Halo 3 and Halo: Reach, combined.
This clearly states that those pathetic, miserable losers crying and whining over a video game on these forums represents less then 1% of the actual player base!
EDIT: I must say over 700 post in under 24hrs! Congrats to all those crying and whining babies getting so work up over this thread. Keep your spinning going it's entertaining watching your desperation kick in! Let's hit 1000 kept it up!

Oh, and you conveniently forget to mention that 3.2 million shows a very significant fall in players since launch, btw. Stats can be made to say what you need them to.

10 RepliesBungie facts are not facts I care about. They should have stated how many of those 3.2M are doing what exactly in the game and how many hours go into specific content. Not just 3.2M playing every day with 3h on average. Facts probably are...2.5M+ of those 3.2M are doing nothing but Crucible(which is the only lasting content in the game...)the rst are casuals who are still on their first playthrough. Give it time man...you wanna jump the white knight bandwagon, feel free to do so. But from people with experience in the MMO genre let me tell you...this game will be dead before '15...no doubt about it.

I bet that number drops sharply after tomorrow's patch. Now there's no point in buying dlc, raiding, our using anything but a hand canon or scout rifle since its just an increased time sink that the rewards will get nerfed. Too bad for me that I've never really liked semi auto weapons in any game.

If you go by their sales figures they released that they sold over $325 million worth of games that means that they should have somewhere around or over 5 million people playing the game... From over 5 million down to a bit over 3 million in one month? That's about a 40% drop in players.

I love how everyone is an analytics/metrics genius. Those are good numbers, plain and simple. Destiny will be around for a while. It's not like all the games coming out in the Holiday season are incapable of crashing and burning, you know.

9 Replies3.2 million people out of 10million+ copies that they sold meaning 1/3 of the people that bought the game. In other world for a 1 month old online game that was this hype.It is pretty bad without forgetting that the game is on 4 console.

I take all of these numbers with a grain of salt. Are people playing this game? Yes, of course. Will they be playing this game in December? That remains to be seen. I, for one, will not be because i'll have multiple other games coming out in November because I think a break from the Destiny monotony is required. Good luck and game on.

Let's assume everybody bought the $60 version. 500 million divided by 60 equals 8,333,333.33 people who have bought Destiny. So in total less than half of the people who bought it are still playing. Remember that I had to take a few assumptions so this is not 100% accurate, but still.

Destiny has been released on 4 platforms. H3 and Reach were only ever on 1. I'm sure plenty of people will be comparing this to the launch of AW in a few weeks though. i wonder how the numbers will stand up then.
