Complaints about destiny, are we entitled to our opinions?

Yes, this game is very poorly designed obviously

No, your opinions are worthless, all hail destiny

I disagree but your opinion's as good as mine

There seems to be an overwhelming number of people bashing the critics that are disappointed with the game. A lot of "GTFO my internets" kind of flaming going on. But come on, really? Are we really so wrong that we're not entitled to our opinions? No. Grow up people. I mean if you think this game is great, that's fine. I think it's pretty great too. But only in some ways. I just wish it was even better, like most of the other games that are around these days... To be honest if Destiny is anywhere on your top 10 games of all time, you're not a gamer and you know nothing about how much better games can be than this. This is a tragedy. A multi million dollar disaster. Developers with MUCH lower budgets have made timeless and perfect games that can never be outshined by the likes of Destiny. There is no excuse for Bungie and Activision to pour so much money into this game and have it be so very glaringly obvious that it's poorly designed. If you think otherwise you really don't know jack shit about gaming. I'm sorry but it's true. Have fun on your mindless shooter while the rest of us go play Dragon Age next month, because it's actually a REAL RPG. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Destiny_(video_game)#Reception The world agrees with us. Why don't you? Oh wait, because you're just one of the millions of troglodytes who were conned into buying this ingeniously MARKETED but poorly designed game. By the way, a list of some of my favorite games that actually have high scores from critics and are relevant to the FPS/RPG genre. Destiny averages about 7.5/10: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metroid_Prime Average over 9/10 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_Effect average just about 9/10 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Battlefront and here's one for you "shared world shooter" people. 8/10 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Battlefront_II 8.5

  • Dragon Age 2 fit into that sweeping statement? Opinions are opinions. Most are fueled by misinformation, poor education on the topic and rumor. Few are founded in actual fact and if they are, they're an argument for or against. Otherwise it's nothing but assertions that should rightly be dismissed. We can even steep ourselves in reality to get a check in what's going on: $500,000,000.00 was rumored to be invested into the game, if that value was the true investment, it would be for the project over its lifetime. When a game pitch is made, it's usually for a single game unless a studio has a track record for making multiple AAA titles in a single franchise run. They get a different kind of contract, much like the music industry and having to make 5 albums in 10 years is pretty much what it looks like. DLC or on the disk cut content for cash: this has been covered a lot but those who are ignorant will stick to their guns. You can, by right, latch onto whatever information you want. But, it's ultra rare for a studio to do anything like that for nefarious reasons. There are so many things wrong with many of the opinions posted that people just get tired, angry or annoyed that they either avoid or fuel the crap posts. So carry on complaining about complaints over complaints while trying to elevate ones worth and dismiss someone else's. It's just a self perpetuation smug snorting joke.
