Why can't we search for tagged threads?

At some point not that long ago the search/tagging system was changed, you can longer find all the threads under specific tags. Only ten threads can be displayed under a search and even further if the threads have not seen any recent activity they will not show up at all. Why? This means that if you search under a popular tag the chance that the thread you are searching for will be one of the ten displayed is quite low. The other thing is that since they no longer show up due to inactivity how are we supposed to find the threads? I thought that was the entire purpose of the tagging system, finding threads that pertain to specific topics regardless if they are "current" or "relevant". The last major update obliterated the activity feed that allowed us to go back and look at all of our posts. It also removed any threads we had saved away under favorites. With the removal of these features this site has lost the last means of retrieving old threads and the key way to catalog them. Right now the only way I see to reliably manage your threads would be to post them all through a group.

Every thread that I have made over the past year was labeled with specific tags with the thought of being able to go back and view them all. Every thread was a progression of a story that I developed over the course of the past year. There are hundreds of threads woven together by these tags, criss-crossing eachother to make a essentailly my own forum and subforums within the site. Now with this change you can no longer experience the Cetacean Shenanigans as I had intended. Out of these hundreds of threads only 10 or less can be viewed which completely destroys what I had established. This change does not only affect me, it also stops people from being able to organize routine events such as Progo's art contests, Viltre's archives, DTL's flood history compendiums, Blonic's weekly updates, Tartan's Flood fiction, etc. All of the things that define us as a community are no longer accesible to everyone.
