i'm sorry if that is what it seems but i promise you that is not the case as i have never said what you claim. i don't have the words to properly express to you and for that i'm sorry. it seems to me that you agree that we can never 100% eradicate the problem but your only solution is to create awarness in the attempt to get ride of it 100%. to me that make no sense what so ever.

  • But in then end we will both be stuck in our ways. If I was born a different year, we might've been more similar

  • Awareness is not going to fix anything by itself. To really prevent harassment, we need to better education and better in home situations. But that is a daunting task. But I believe people should not take harassment face down. You did not say those words exactly but you said to just leave the situations, which gives the harasser a free pass and enabling them

  • in the end it just seems like your argument and solution is "feelings" based. which goes back to my original thought. i don't care about what words are said (your or mine)....i care about the actions. actions are what matters most in every scenerio.' "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" you will never stop somone from saying something that makes you become a victim but you can do an action to minimize it or make it go away all together if you want it to stop. you have to decide at some point what is more important. stopping the harassment or punishing the people doing the harassment because you will find often in life that you can not do both no matter how hard we all try. that is the reality of the world we live in.

that was your first mistake. do not ever assume anything. nothing good in the history of man has happened through assumption. if you stay relevant to my replies you should be able to see 2 things you can do for action and if you were to assume anyting a logical person would have came to that conclusion instead of what you are reaching for. i get from your post to me and others that your a very emotion based person. emotions do not solve anything and only cloud the issues. try to take a step back and view the issues with out any emotion or feelings attatched.

  • You are right on that. But I find that as some what weak to either leave the situation or block the person. I do not know why and I probably shouldn't. But I thank you for this

  • tools that work no matter how "weak" they are still work. i agree with you 100% that this problem should not even have to be discussed. it should not even exist in a perfect world. however our world has never been perfect and no matter how hard we try it will never happen. we just have to do the best we can with what we have and sometimes that means the victim is giong to have to stand up for themselves every now and again. when the victim starts to do that not only will they "feel stronger" but they will no longer be easy targets for the haraser. this happens all the time in nature. this happens all the time in religion. this happens all the time for people that do not believe in religion but believe in evolution. there is eveidence to support this everywhere.

  • in simplest terms that once you stop "acting" like a victim more times than not (notice i did not say everytime) your chances of being a victim in the futue are reduced. **the key word is acting. people act like the victim all the time when clearly they are not. it is just the in thing to do now in our society.**
