You are like a sexist Al Sharpton. A game is a lifestyle, not a gender. Gamer is gamer. End of story. Cry somewhere else.

  • No, you are crying about men degrading women. Thus, keeping the 'movement' alive that men treat women wrong/bad in online gaming. Just like Al does with all his racist crap. Gamer is a gamer, so your post does nothing but tries to stir the pot.

  • Why does it bother you to have it brought up? Well use Sharpton here: Sharpton is black and speaks about racism in a way that I will admit is insightful intentionally. To push forward an agenda. I am not a woman. I am not Sharpton. I profit none at all from an agenda here, or the conversation---it does, however, bring up a conversation that for many people is uncomfortable either because they don't want to confront it or because they're a culprit. To which... *shrug* Your assertion also kind of suggests that without Sharpton, racism wouldn't be a thing at all. I sincerely hope I'm misunderstanding, and if I'm not then you have a basic misunderstanding of how these issues work. Not talking about them =/= solving them.

But you arnt solving nothing, you are running around having a tissy fit trying to sound honorable and nothing in your post stands out as nothing other than pure attention-wanting junk. Gaming is gaming. There is always smack-talking, esp in FPS games.

  • To you it seems that way. To a lot of respondents who appreciate the conversation continuing, it wasn't that. I'm not sure why anything that gets attention is automatically an 'attention grab' to some people. That's probably a different topic entirely. Speaking on a topic that people are likely to talk about isn't---I mean that means that you can't talk about anything, unless it's something you think no one would be interested in and/or is affected by. What?

  • I'm not sure why you ended your post with 'What?'. Anyway, I am not sure what kind of crusade you are trying to do here, but you honestly sound like an idiot in your post. Gaming is gaming and it is fine how it is. Gaming isnt't the real world - but if you get all bent out of shape to a few rude people/name calling online than when you do get into the real world I hope you have a lot thicker skin.

  • Gaming is not fine how it is. This assertion, I am certain, has been made about plenty of things in the past that were just plain wrong, with a population who just didn't want to bother being held accountable enough to change it. It was still wrong. It is not fine no matter how emphatically you insist. Most of those talking about having a 'thick skin' have never had to experience being in this environment while being categorically devalued for being a woman/colored/homosexual or whatever it is. The people claiming that others need 'thicker skins' have no idea how sharp the darts being thrown really are, so to speak. You don't get it possibly because you can't get it. Without a sense of empathy, the fact that you'll never be on the receiving end makes understanding impossible for you. So you could be telling people to grow a skin thick enough to ward off a machete. And you don't even want to talk about it enough to know if that might be the case. You just want to be allowed to not care, and for the people it affects to just be quiet. That'll solve it, right? The problem isn't the actions of creating the hostility, the problem is that the people enduring the hostility won't just be quiet.

  • Name calling? Excellent, well thought out response. You're welcome back when you have a way to continue the conversation. If I was all about being nice I wouldn't have confronted you because it would upset you. If I'm on a crusade, you certainly don't seem to be able to muster the will or the wit to oppose it. You seem weak, friend.
