Handing in legendary engrams but not for your class
Don't know if this is just me but I got given a legendary engram after leveling up the cryptarch guy but after handing it in I got an arm piece for a warlock even tho I'm a hunter which annoyed me can you help bungie?

Legendary engrams have a chance of decrypting in to an off-class item.

You do not typically receive legendary engrams, from what I know, for leveling up the Cryptarch. If you do it is a treat. What you do get is a letter that is purple and it does confuse players into thinking they got a legendary. You will occasionally receive items for another class. That is common. It is there to give you a leg up if you create another class of character in the future. Most just put it in the vault for later use.
