Sorry Deej, but I've decided not to play it (although previous events I didn't miss), and the cause was not a glitch with hunters but the fact that I can't at least get the items from Lord Saladin for all three characters, I would prefer to spend my legendary on items from vendors which are not inferior in quality to the items of the iron banner. Make the light level of the subjects at least 300 and maybe next time I will play the iron banner. But now, participation in this event for me makes no sense. I'm not a fan of cosmetics.

Yes. Yes. Love the IB, it's the only PvP I like. I feel like I can contribute, I'm at the top of the board, and I win more than I lose. Regular Crucible and ToO I'm like the red headed step child, I get beat all the time and I do horrible. So I don't bother playing those. That's my two cents. Go Cubs Go Irish!!!

Didn't notice any difference from the scaling. Less potato connections by far though.

I didnt notice any help from me being light 309. I died very easily from 280's even worse than regular crucible. Please make it like 10% different PER light point! Or something noticable.

3 RepliesHonestly Deej, this has been the absolute worst Iron Banner to date. The nightstalker glitch certainly hasn't helped either. The damage curve for this round of Iron Banner is almost non existent. Would like to see the previous curve put back. I like that weapons and armour are now part of the loot table, although I've only had the Titan mark drop for me twice. Need to take the iron banner back to the drawing board

-Iron Banner Control should be Zone Control to promote teamwork and teamplay instead of control which is more kill oriented and sometimes promotes lone wolf-ing. -Someone should look at Bad Juju… -Shotguns still have too much range -As a Sunbreaker, I feel the cauterize perk is slightly OP. It return a small portion of health or have the health regeneration part slowed down a bit. -The reward system is still lackluster. Me and some friends won a game by 4000 points and I had the most points in the match but RNG decide to give the pulse rifle to someone that barely join, went negative and has the least amount of points.

Edited by Ranger: 10/18/2015 6:17:27 AMTitan was amazing in Crucible, I played both Sunbreaker and Defender, Xûr's clutch timing and your buff to No Backup Plans helped for sure. Hunter was also lots of fun, good vanish in smoke on control points and the stacking ability from Sealed Ahamakara's grasps. One red bar in the group made everything go all weird during a few matches, least I think it did, had direct connection, and being the only one up at night and on the web, my connection is rock solid with wifi and lab cable. During the week, I've seen a TON of nerf Sunbreaker posts, the one that kept getting me was the bloody Stormcallers, those guys were right on you, seems like a pretty lengthy super compared to Gunslinger and Sunsigner, perk is my first guess. As for my gear, I hit rank 5 tonight, got the shader and emblem, also Wolf cloak for Hunter rank 3. Weapon drops, Ironwreath-D is FUN. Good control, love the added surpressor. I have three of them now, all different specs. I debated on getting Nirwin's because I REALLY wanted that Wolf cloak. If I get gold quests completed before reset, I'll get marks to pick it up. Either then that, a very entertaining and successful week! Consider me hooked! Next up is the bucket head helm for Titan when available. ;-) Also suppressed scout rifle.

Fix the conspiracy theory and fix infinite nightstalker arrows. It's bullshit and I'm not touching anything PvP but the daily until it is fixed

Titan is just so OP with that hammer some people are still using party crashed and one shooting people. I have people point blank I die, they do it to me I die and the live. The light levels on seem to work it there are 50 lights below. I.e. A 220 vs a 270 year ones are still killing people with ease.
-
Worst , got to rank 5 with all my characters and got 2 side arms and all boots with 1 pulse rifle. I'm just saying like give us something worthwhile.
-
Horrible. I don't mind the infinite arrows glitch (teams of 4+ with it is irritating though), but the consistently poor internet connections is what irks me the most. It renders PVP unplayable at times. I can see certain teammates disappearing everywhere or have to spam melee to catch a lagging opponent-- it hardly ends well. The top players usually have to red connections. Why is this still a problem since day one? Either way, I'm glad to hear that this is an issue being looked at for the future competitive modes.

Laggy as shit

This post was made a year ago and it's still staying updated, LOL!
-
OMG I want to laugh so bad give a second...hahahahahahahahahaha yo that is a slap to all the fanboys face!! They know what's going on in pvp so why ask ?
-
was crap deej just crap. HoS everywhere and I mean if two sunbreakers were on one team that was all you seen were hammers so iron banner ? no its iron hammer . just started my very own sunbreaker and once maxed all it will be used for is PVP and Iron Hammer ! no op my ass!
-
It was terrible. The lag, the blatant cheating, over use of a certain super (you know what I mean), some weapons dominating the scene, not getting hit markers, not getting points for assists, my list can go on and on; oh yeah ,and what in God's name is with the map rotation? 11 times in a row with frigging twilight gap!???!. It was horrid, year one was 100 times better in my opinion. Here is is Saturday night, and guess what. Nothing has changed, and I am a AVID iron banner player. The light level is good, I'm a 297 and I could notice the difference going up against a level 303, did like that. Made it challenging.
-
There is literally no difference from the regular control mode. It feels exactly the same. I was just one-shot by a level 9 with a shotgun. One. Shot. Level. 9. I'm level 29.
-
feels exactly the same. imo turn on level advantages completely, a level 30 should be able to turn the tide vs a team of 28s.

Edited by MadPeacock: 10/9/2014 4:28:01 PMWell in all honesty I feel like in order for the level advantage system to work you would need a SIGNIFICANT difference from a lvl 14 to a lvl+29, but even with that skill level really is the key essential component in multiplayers always has been always will. That's why a lvl 4 can dominate in an Iron banner match. I feel like when we are pushed to rely on level and gear difference then we sort of are ignoring the key elements of just plain skill (all in all its good in theory but maybe not so much when executed) just my opinion though. :) now for the less on topic but still relevant bit. Then there is the motivation behind doing well in a match I mean I came in second to last in one of my previous games and got 2 blue engrams and the rest of the team (that actually did the work) got squat, I ended up feeling as though I had unjustly stolen something from them and decided to leave that group to find another. Then there are these moments were I know my team is going to lose cause there is no communication of cohesion in the team so I no longer care about being first in my squad, instead I think,
" well it doesn't matter"
the very fact that I know that no matter how hard I try that it doesn't matter and the guy who has been ignoring objectives or just trolling is just as likely to end up with better loot while I get nothing is detrimental to my motivation when playing.

Edited by Racebum: 6/6/2015 9:46:32 AMI never quit games when I know we won't win. I quit games when the lag is so bad shots don't register and the latency is so strong I'm being shot before I can see someone , then I die from one shot out of a hand cannon or three or four from an auto rifle. I know it takes more than that, the point is it never showed up on my screen. you guys really need to work on regional matchmaking and keeping the ping tolerable. furthermore if you're going to keep this a p2p game figure out some way to make sure whoever is selected as host has the bandwidth to actually host. As for actual play. I think the level advantages need to be increased a very small amount. There is very little difference unless you're under 31. auto rifles of course need a buff. The accuracy of the VEX is completely screwed up after the last patch. Thorn is everywhere. I think rather than reducing damage of guns in the future, gameplay may improve if the time to kill was quickened rather than slowed. Really if there is just one thing I want to bitch about. it's that gameplay is inconsistent and it all revolves around latency

DeeJ I have a question. Why did my fireteam of people who are on my friends list get split up on to two different planets and 2 different fireteams while we were all on a fireteam together at the start? 3 on Venus 3 on Earth. Also when I do run a full fireteam of 6 the lag is unreal but when I run with 5 randoms there is no lag at all.
-
Just un_nerf auto rifles already.

Edited by UberLord Parker: 6/8/2015 5:28:50 PMThe latest update, adding the Reputation boon for alternate characters, was AWESOME. I was able to rank all three characters to IB Rank 5 without the Herculean effort that it required in the past. I had a few issues with other peoples lag... but not nearly as many as I've seen in previous events. The new Iron Banner gear is nice... and it helps identify the Legacy IB players from the new crowd. That being said, EVERY glove and boot, from IB1.0 on has been either Scout Rifle or Auto Rifle... it would be BETTER if there was some different armor perks every now and then: Pulse Rifle or Hand Cannon loading gloves or ammo boosting boots... and/or maybe some different Stat buffs. The adjustments to the loot tables was/is AMAZING. What are the odds of seeing Skorri's Revenge? It hasn't hit Saladin's shelf yet... it's the LAST IB gun out there for those of us looking to complete the set ;) On quitting games: It happens... it's understandable. If you spawn into a match with a 10,000 point deficit after everyone else has supers and heavy ammo it kinda sucks. Normally I would eat the loss, work towards bounties, and collect a Medallion... but when you have five Medallions or it's your fifth partial game in a row... it may be time to look for a new lobby. That doesn't mean I would quit a game I started just because we're losing... that's just hanging the FireTeam out to dry (or giving someone else a losing match to spawn into). I suggest penalizing people who bail on a match a Medallion (or two... or even ALL OF THEM)... this would help prevent people from quitting early. The Level Advantages were noticeable... up an down. I played a 33 or a 32... it felt like you guys have it right. Overall... it was a GREAT experience. Thank You.

Edited by SaltyJack591: 6/8/2015 2:39:17 PMThank you for wasting part of my Saturday on what should have been a fun event. The constant lag, being kicked from the game or contacting Destint servers warning every couple of minutes was wearing me down. We finally had to quit since our team kept getting kicked out of the matches and or the game completely. So I can't really answer your question. We are still having these problems in PoE too. Please take care of this, it really takes the fun out of a game I enjoy playing.

Edited by Striding Shadow: 6/8/2015 2:30:12 PMNo positive feedback--lag is so bad due to international matchmaking. UK players re frequently unable to detect or damage players from the USA/Europe/Ireland yet are killed easily.Alot of players are also using lagswitch. twice ranked up to rank 5 this week but without enjoying a moment of it. time to find another game.
