How was your first night in the Iron Banner?

Were you detecting an advantage attributed to your more powerful gear and weapons? Did the experience feel different than standard Crucible combat?

UPDATE: I know people quit games when they know they won't win. I'm more curious about your perceptions for how the power-level advantages work. Help me help you. Stay on target!

its pvp. not important. how about massive open pve worlds. a ton more story. 3rd sub class. pve marks to but faction gear. i want dead orbit gear for max light level, would be nice. not having to grind raids i cant get groups for. please.

Edited by botbot1973: 2/21/2015 5:45:07 PMI have just done iron banner for first time. The overall set up is good. The lag can be an issue,but for me it was maybe a third of my games were effected. I feel a little disappointed that,it takes two iron banner attempts at least to get the full armour. This is not the raids,we are fighting to level up to BUY items,so I think the full armour should be on sale for every event. The best part is the rolling of the perks on weapons,it's a great function and will keep the guns interesting for a longer time. I know understand where iron banner fits into the whole destiny experience and think it really is a very good event as it is now. That said,I did get three weapons drop,a couple of ships so may say I had a good first experience. Thx bungie,I have enjoyed the time I have put into the game this week. My opinion anyway. Now,about vault space............:)

After that I'll say the thorn but I have one also so it's a double edge sword compliant. After that the fusion rifles seriously they have to much range. Way to much range no matter if you have to charge it the range should not as far as they currently are. I just wished the helmet was able to drop or a light level 36 chest amour. So I could have a complete set of iron banner gear before they put out the next dlc and have to work my ass of again for the same gear of a higher level which I bet you guys are gonna do to everyone. To make us continue playing this mode. But it is a fun mode.[spoiler] where's my ghorn at already?[/spoiler]

I keep getting kicked from games as they're about to end. Bungie, your servers are robbing me of my time, rep,and possible prizes. Please fix your servers. There are games when the whole lobby is red barred. Im tired of it. I've been kicked from 4 out of 12 games.

Would have been more enjoyable if the weapon tuning patch was delivered along side iron banner. To me it seems like everyone is trying to use the crap out of all the weapons that are gonna get a nerf before its too late.

1 ReplyI think the power advantage still doesn't really exist to the full extent. Why? Because it's still only limited to gun attack power and total defense. The level of players should also be factored in. Otherwise I don't really see a need for Iron Banner gear to be 32

The main thing is that terrible RNG crap. If I finish first and win I get jack compared to everyone else and its a joke. Pve has become stale and now crucible rewards people for doing nothing!. Sort it out.

So tired of the LAG! Not to mention low level players always on my side. Do you think a level 21 with .19 k/d and 1 capture helpful. Say hi to the thorn games. Here is a suggestion try buffing a weapon to see what happens, one thing at a time not a buff nerf combo platter. Oh and quit messing with the AR it is a shooter game a lot of people prefer to run and gun with an AR. And finally fix the stupid LA LA lag.

There is definitely a power advantage when using the higher level and maxed out weapons. Even changing the impact stat on guns will produce notable effects. Of course lag and rage quitting are a more universal problem, but i feel everything else seems to be working as intended

Idk Bungie- you tell me! When a player can stand on the other side of a massive wall and shoot me through it- how was it! Um-not pleasant! Lag is an absolute killer!
