How was your first night in the Iron Banner?

Were you detecting an advantage attributed to your more powerful gear and weapons? Did the experience feel different than standard Crucible combat?

UPDATE: I know people quit games when they know they won't win. I'm more curious about your perceptions for how the power-level advantages work. Help me help you. Stay on target!

DeeJ, I have yet to notice a difference in player levels. A lvl 28 still seems more then strong enough to handle a lvl 32. Which of course makes little sense. Weapons - Hand cannons are the same. 2 shots and your down. Thorn can be 1 shot..that extra effect really seems to bother many players. Fusions are hit or miss - across the room and they still take you out 1 shot. But they miss at times when up close. Sure it's not easy, but within a short distance they should never miss. Some new perks might be nice? Faster charge rates at the expense of impact? Shotguns are the same, 1 shot killers. Autos are the same but slightly weaker. Pulse and scouts I've not seen much if a difference. Rarely see anyone using a pulse. Same with scouts. They simply don't do what they are supposed to. Fire a Mida and they don't stagger a Gaurdian. They should stagger 1st shit and kill second shot. But PVP is the same. To many people getting to frustrated over the weapons not acting like they are intended to. But seriously, the stats page must go. There is no reason to make players feel badly is there? You lose a match or your team wins and you don't play that well. Does everyone need to be able to see how poorly you did? What benefit is there in showing up the players who aren't as good? Match making is 100% not about skill or ability. How about fixing that?

Getting killed by one shot shotgun or melee by 25 and 26 players as a 31 is not okay. Also having a 20 playing with you and being useless against the other team is frustrating. IB should be for 27 or 28 and up only.

No advantage of any kind. I was in a game last night we had guardians ranging from level 22-32 how can we even have a match with that kind of level disparity. I was playing as a level 32 warlock and I was killed by the lowest level guardians using rare weapons. There were no leveling advantages it was regular crucible all over again.

1 ReplySerious lantenty issues that need fixing. Net code is trash. Spawn points favor one side to much. There should be more spawn points to avoid being trapped by the other team.

3 RepliesWhy don't you guys at Bungie play the Iron Banner. Then, you will realize that gear and guns really don't matter. The lag is almost unbearable, maps????? One game type and 4 maps. This may not be constructive feedback but you guys are insulting everyone that plays this game. With that said if I had to choose one word it would be .... Disappointing.

Also. Level doesn't seem to matter at all. 32's are getting one shotted by copious different weapons by 30's and lower...something seems off... Stop lying to the community. Defense does not matter.

This iron banner is horrid, Deej. The lag is just abysmal. The map rotation? I don't even think you can call it a rotation. Iron banner is literally the same 3 maps. It's very irritating. Everyone either uses a Suros, thorn, or last word. Literally everyone. You just know the opponent's load out without even checking. You guys keep bringing iron banner back, yet you can't get servers that are consistent and stable? There's no point then! 80% of the time people are teleporting across the map due to the horrid lag. You guys are becoming more and more incompetent. It's mind boggling how you guys are still a running company. You say you want feedback. But are you actually going to listen? Highly doubt it. *sigh*

I actually enjoy IB more than regular crucible. I like the fact that not everyone is the same regardless of your level. The only complaint I have is the lag. My Internet is good too. Unloaded a full clip into this dude with my Suros and punched him twice. His health bar never moved, then he some how managed to kill me with a melee.

Saying "we're listening" doesnt mean shit when the people you want to be speaking know it is going in one ear and out the other...

Again lag and more lag...more lag,and let's not forget about the horrible matchmaking i was playing ironb solo a couple of hours ago and i ended up 3/4 times in a row in team that were losing to 4/5 k points with only 2 or 3 players left ...how this is fun?

I can play for about ten minutes before either getting kicked off the servers or losing connection to Xbox live. You say that destiny is such a great game, then make it one. Every time I play I get kicked off because of your servers, I keep on getting things like beaver or groundhog. That says your problem has been reported immediately well guess what it's not it won't stop happening so if you're going tell me it's fixed than fix it. I preordered the game and it's been happening ever since I play. So fix it or I'm leaving, and I know I'm one in a million. But that million you so call love so much is going to leave within a year. For any of those who care I find playing between 9am and 12pm central is best. For the Xbox live problem, it started when I downloaded the game off the disks. Whoever is reading this please support me. Halo Reach is a great game better than Density will be if the functions and codes don't start working. Halo Reach is way better than the game Bungie said that Destiny is.

5 RepliesBiggest bitch weapon used is the shotgun. It should be removed from the game completely. There's no use for it in PvE and douche bags in PvP run around all the time with it like its their primary, they constantly run into players taking all sorts of damage and still blast their shotgun away killing people. This is the biggest piece of shit weapon in the game. If you don't remove then nerf it so it can't even take down shields because I'm sick and tired of garbage ass players only using that in PvP.

It usually takes me a few rounds to get up to a constant 8+ kill game. I'm still getting killed of course. And by then I am already done with crucible. But I really don't notice higher levels defeating lower levels. I got killed by 20s and I was easily killing 32s. It's just a renamed crucible. I'm not seeing the greatness the iron banner is said to be
