Can not believe you get nothing for losing Iron Banner matches
25+ for winning, absolutely nothing for losing. If at the end of a 15 minute match you happen to be 200 points short, you get no rep. I could see 10 being a very fair reward for just participating in the iron banner. It literally takes 9.5 hours of winning every 15 minutes just to get to rank 2. This is kind of insane. Not wanting to bitch, but come on. If I happen to be placed in a team that is really good, but only a few kills (maybe a good super use) behind the other, I should at least get rep for putting 15 minutes on the board. Even winning, I don't feel as good knowing the other team tried their hardest and walked away with nothing. This lasting only a week, shouldn't they give the most rep possible so as everyone would enjoy it?

I agree. I do pretty well for myself on most matches, but the game is constantly putting me on teams full of shitty players. It would be ok if it didn't do that. I'm good, but I can't win a game by myself. It would be nice to have at least half decent teammates once in a while

6 RepliesWell it is a game type for the best of the best so losers shouldn't get a participation medal. Only thing that annoys me is when I get into a game and find I've been JIP'd and the team I'm on is losing by a few K so I have to work my ass off to get the score balanced just for my team to keep giving away free kills it's like these no strategy at all and it's annoying.

It's complete BS. I couldn't find any friends this morning, so I decide to play some solo IB, thinking I will get some rep. I won 3 and lost a dozen. I was the 1st or 2nd on my team, with the best K/D and the most captures. So because the randoms I keep getting matched with completely suck, ( they all were rocking negative K/Ds, with 1 or 0 captured ), bungie decides to completely suck a dick, and only reward players who " win ". Absolutely ridiculous.

7 RepliesI love all the elitist assholes coming in here saying "get skillz", "learn 2 play", etc... You missed his point entirely. If I'm on a team that sucks or has no team work, what am I to do? Waste 15 minutes? There is no way to communicate with them to try and organize a comeback. So all you can do is kill as many as possible and get as many control points as possible. But, that means nothing if the rest of your team is running circles and dying every 10 seconds. You could be the best player in that match on both teams. Yet, if your team loses you get no IB rep. What sense does that make? I can understand, and even encourage, the idea of the losing team getting no loot. But, no rep? When you have the highest kill count, score, and captures for both teams? Why waste my time?

7 RepliesWhy should losers get anything? That's the idea behind winning, to get acknowledged/rewarded for it. If I lose, then I'm going to try to do better, so I can get rewarded the next time.

You get exactly the same rewards you would get from losing a crucible match, with the added chance of getting IB legendaries on the reward screen. I'd rather lose in IB than lose in Crucible. You also get a chance to redeem yourself in the next match. No one likes losing, but you get a ton of stuff for it, even if you don't get any IB rep.

5 RepliesTo all the whiners crying about pvp reward system: I last played pvp about 12 years ago, soldier of fortune and Wolfenstein: enemy territory. Guess what I got for winning: absolutely nothing, beside some "GG"-s from the rest. And I just kept playing. Are you playing because you enjoy the game or because you think Bungie is Santa and you're entitled for gifts just for sparing your valuable time for the losers in pvp?

1 ReplyHahaha did you not play halo 3? Win and get like 1xp... Lose and get nothing. Spending 12 minutes and not getting the rep is no big deal.. You still get crucible marks and rep, plus the slot machine at the end pays out big sometimes.

I don't necessarily think you should be rewarded for losing but something has to change. As soon as your fireteam starts losing everyone drops off because they know they won't be rewarded. It's annoying as hell. Stay in the game and finish it like a man.

Absolutely nothing huh. If you lose you get: Crucible Rep Crucible marks Xp Glimmer Chance at Gear The only difference between winning and losing is the Iron Banner Rep. You don't walk away with nothing. Your over-exaggerating. Form a fireteam of friends. Tonight Myself and two other friends logged in and no matter what other teammates we go stuck with we won. We even had two guys drop from our team because we were behind in the beginning and ended up coming back and winning the match.

The, "you don't get rewards for losing irl" is complete bull. This is a game, a game we [i]choose[/i] to use [b]our free time[/b] playing, if we aren't guaranteed progress towards a [u]limited time event[/u] then what's the point of playing? I might as well play titanfall, there's nothing else to unlock there either.

Dude it's this attitude that's annoying. Not everything needs to or is going to be fair. I truly wish it all could be, but it's not. Losers in real life get nothing. If I lose in Iron Banner I'm always looking to improve so I can win the next game. Not worrying about whether it should be fair.
