So much for grinding for gear and stacking the best stuff.. I got grenade killed by a lvl 6 hunter.....im lvl 26.....A FULL 20 LEVELS ABOVE, please explain where it makes sense that he should even be able to damage me? Because in PVE, we couldnt touch the lvl 20 enemies, they had ?? and were immune to our puny bullets but somewhere this douche took me out with a lvl 6 weapon.
I dont want to hear snide jokes that im not good, I usually finish first or second place every round, this is just a failed system and really is no different than crucible...so what gives Bungie
EDIT: I occasionally finish first, most of the time I do fairly well, K/D aside.

1 ReplyAt least you can PLAY the game I can't

3 RepliesSooooo would it be fair if the Level 6 didn't even have a Chance?
-
1 ReplySo what, I was fraged by a Hunter who looked like Lady Gaga! And no, she was not wearing delicious bacon.

Now I haven't played Iron Banner yet so I could be wrong about this so bare with me here. It's my understanding that your level isn't what really matters it's your armor and weapon damage stats. His weapon might have done slightly more damage that your armor rating and in the case of a grenade it's a 1 hit kill regardless. Don't sweat it, take comfort in the fact it took a grenade to kill you and not his rifle.

No no no You just got beat You never finish top 2 You still need to try, maybe he's a better player
-
Lol so you think because he's a lower level that means he can't kill you?
-
8 RepliesYou were killled by a grenade, has nothing to do with character level or weapon level. Grenades don't scale. Did you think it was a Blue /yellow Engram and tried to pick it up....?
-
Hehehehehehehe, killed by a level 6....hehehehehehehe. rekt.

5 RepliesLooked at your last 10 matches and you haven't scored in the top two in any of them. Please know that everyone can verify your match history and score very easily through your profile.

Probably should have kept this to yourself, now you will just be known as the level 26 who got killed by a level 6 in Iron Banner....
-
Lvl 6 mobs can kill you, too. Levels don't make you invincible. You still have to try.
-
Oh, if it's the Sticky Grenade then it is a one hit K.O. I've been stick myself in regular crucible and even have done it to myself outside of PVP. Plus all grenades are one hit kills if you don't avoid them in time. =/

I think the idea of "level advantage enable" is it does not mean your legendary is doing 300 per shot and your equip block the first 1200 dmg. I think everything is scaled based on level/equipment. actual>scale, but I think this was to stop 30's from pubstomping teams of 27and below. unfortunately they didn't find a good scale

Sounds like you're simply bad. And after like 45 seconds of checking your stats back that idea up!
You're just bad buddy!
7 RepliesSo Teh, a grenade is less powerful in the hands of a 6 year old than it is a 26 year old? Wait hold that thought, do not bring PvE into this. The AI is predictable, always comes from the same place, typically holds the same position and you know does not generally stand a chance unless you just stand there and look at them. So no you not being able to hurt a level 20 mob at level 6 does not affect anything about PvP and if you think it should, well, continue to frustrate yourself then. So in PVP you think that because you are 20 lvls above someone they should not be able to hurt you? Ok can you just go stand in a corner then and not run around fighting, cause then I might not think you are ridiculous. Unlike PvE, whilst in PvP you can not "avoid" areas with high level enemies, in your case a frustrated (insert your age here) year old. A naked man could easily take out heavily armored enemies if they do not know what they are doing. Stop concerning yourself with the level of the guy that killed you and more with avoiding that grenade, or throwing your own before you die and getting a post mortem... In other words, here is your attention. You earned it guardian, now continue to protect the light.

Hilarious headline. Didn't read the post cause lot of caps and exclamations but damn that's funny.
-
A grenade killed you not a lvl 6 get over it and learn to strafe.
-
Doesn't surprise me. It's the same as PvE. When an enemy is 4 levels above you it's impossible for u to even hurt them. I can easily be taken out by level 2 enemies at level 28 if I get swarmed and do something stupid.

12 RepliesI fell every one commenting is missing the point, what makes iron banner special is the fact that gear stats now matter. aka a level 6 with 300 armor and a gun doing 66 damage shouldn't be able to touch a level 26 with 1.2k+ armor. sure you can spout about how he should be a better player this is true, but that doesn't excuse the fact that it looks like guns are still normalized on their damage, meaning the iron banner has been down graded to normal control with cooler loot, sad.

2 RepliesWas this the same match where you got 0 kills, 0 assists? I mean, it's pretty easy, even for a lvl 6, to kill you when you're AFK...
