Is there a NON-crucible exotic weapon quest? And is Xir the exotic vendor just a freakin' myth???
I really would like to know IF there is a NON-Crucible exotic weapon quest, that's two I have to abandon mid-way through. I have no intentions whatsoever to go in the crucible ( army vet, enough REAL death matches for a lifetime and beyond, so I stick to story and co-op)... Also I would like to know if Xir agent of the nine is just a friggin' myth or is a reality, because I've been playing since launch, raised 42 strange coins and almost a 100 motes of light; and I've never ever caught a glimpse of the alleged exotic engrams vendors... Please answer me in-game on the 360 version tag: AJr Lachapelle; thank you.
Sticking up until I'm done with the coop and stories achievements (nine left 'til done), I'm not attracted to pvp games in general, and nerfing the story and co-op areas in favor of upping the pvp ones is rather deterrent to co-op oriented player... Beta was awesome because the game wasn't so pvp focused yet... if i can't move up because I don't pvp, I don't see why I should stick longer then I should... I don't know what happened, but this is not the game that got me addicted in the beta anymore... I tossed Reaper of Souls aside for this??? yes it's still as of yet a great game... but it used to be even better in a beta that limited your level at 8!?!?!?! oh well....

Super Good Advice and I think Pocket Infinity don't require Crucible. As for Xur whenever you go to the Tower (especially on the first day of arrival) look for the area where a large number of names are clustered. That usually means Xur is in that area. He moves to a new spot every week (so far) so either ask around on the forums, search for him in the Tower or watch to see where people tend to go. http://www.destinygamewiki.com/wiki/Agent_of_the_Nine

To my knowledge you all of the exotic weapon bounties require some kind of Crucible stuff. Xur only shows up Friday and Saturday in different spots, you can usually check on here and see threads about his location that week.

Friday at 9AM GMT he shows up.. just look up destiny reddit posts, that's how I find it.

In Friday or Saturday just go to the tower and look for a people croweded in one spot, that works for me. Google his location, it's easier.

1 ReplyNever heard of xir agent of the nine. He might be related to Xur agent of the nine, but I am not sure. If your looking for Xur, check the forums every friday. Someone posts his location and his wares for the week. He is out from Friday at 9 AM to Sunday at 9 AM If your still looking for xir, you might want to look at a wiki

Super good advice and pocket infinity dont have any crucible parts.

Yeah, the Machine Gun Bounty doesn't require crucible. Required a weekly or heroic and then 500 kills with a machine gun. Can be done Pve. Easy to do. Got it done in like an hour.

The items and the reputation rank is located at your faction trainer in the tower. Talk to him and you can see the items and the rank you are currently in. Also; Xur arrives at 9am Friday and will be available until 9am sunday. His location varies in the tower. Look in the forums or online to see where he is located. Not sure exact times. He changes location every week though. This week he was to the right of the vanguard vendors. So this Friday come on here and I'm sure you'll find several posts explaining where to find him. Good luck!

As of exotic bounty, "voice in the wilderness" is one for an exotic light machine gun that doesn't require crucible, but requires you meeting xur. Another one is the fusion rifle bounty, can't think of the name though.

8 RepliesLOL Xur is not a myth and your like me and plays a lot solo or co-op with a friends who like doing weekly heroic and daily heroic, you should have no issue upgrading what ever you will get from Xur. As for Exotic weapon bounty with no PvP requirement, there is the machine gun - and the pocket infinity exotic fusion riffle, those 2 out of 5 are PvE only.
