I feel as if fusion rifles tried to bridge the gap between sniper rifles and shotguns but dont excel at either. In close range the charge up time will get you killed in a shotgun battle, and at medium range all rifles will out preform you. They do take some skill to use but is the effort worth the reward? Let me know what you think.

Fusion rifles need a nerf in pvp.

Fusion rifles destroy in PvP

11% have clearly never been in any Crucible match

my thoughts on fusion rifles is that they are a well-balanced weapon with clear strengths and weaknesses. Its a shotgun with better range but a slower ttk. There is a very specific range where it is absurdly effective, but as you said it will lose close up to a shotgun, and will lose mid-range to rifles. if you can anticipate where the person is and charge up preemptively, and also learn to lead your shots, then its amazing

I have a legendary one. I started to use it in pvp and it rips people apart.

5 Repliesif you let a shot gunner get in close, then you need to learn what a motion sensor is. My FR rips everything apart. EVERYTHING

Fusion rifles destroy people quickly. You just have to get used to the timing.

I only tried them briefly in PVP and they did not do much for me, but I guess thats the type of player I am. I am working on unlocking pocket infinity auto fire mode, perhaps once I get that I will kick ass with a FR. But until then I find them underpowered and would still prefer to stick with my legendary AR and sniper.

Fusion Rifles can be crazy strong if you have the right model, I find them more useful for PvE than Shotguns as well.
