I am currently farming rep for rank 3 crucible to buy the lord high fixer, but I could get the devil you know sooner as I already have rank 3 and just need the marks. What are your opinions on which is the better (store) gun? I know there are more highly regarded guns (hawkmoon, the last word, etc) but those guns involve rng so please keep the discussion to the two guns in the topic. I posted my analysis on another forum, but I would love for someone with real game-time usage to shed light on the usefulness of the perks. Here it is:

The Devil You Know (balanced archetype)
:Zen Moment: Causing damage with this weapon increases its stability
:Crowd Control: Kills with this weapon grant bonus damage for a short time
Lord High Fixer (precise archetype)
:Rangefinder:Aiming this weapon increases its effective range
:Third Eye: Radar stays active while aiming down this weapon's sight
I like the special perks for both guns, but it seems like LHF has better synergy. You can aim down the sights, increase the range, and it gets third eye, so you can be looking down your sights most of the time. I have no idea how much damage is added with crowd control or how much range is added to rangefinder. Both have send it, however LHF also has an increase reload speed option. If the rangefinder perk is as amazing as it sounds, you can have effectively higher range all the time AND faster reload speed, which in this case would make LHF a clear winner.
I'm comparing the stability bars on the guns, and they look similar if not the same even though the sites I linked categorize TDYK stability as average while the LHF as good. I'll go with what the pics show and say that they are about the same so in that category its a wash. Zen moment obviously helps TDYK edge out LHF WHEN you do damage.
So in comparison:
LHF:
+looks better (subjective but I dont want to rep an orange goody too shoes weapon, red-like-blood baby!!!)
+better range, even if both guns are specced with send it
+better reload speed
+third eye is an amazing perk in pvp
+better sights it seems, as there is a "superb target acquistion" perk while TDYK does not have it
-smaller magazine (not really important as it is a whole 1 bullet lol)
-cant be perked for better stability
TDYK:
+better stability
+better damage with crowd control
-both special perks are conditional on damage/kills, compared to LHF which has an easier condition to fulfill (press L trigger)
TLDR: I say LHF is the better weapon overall, as the range helps a lot in both PVP and PVE, and you can spec for a ridiculously faster reload speed. Also has more/better sight options and the special perks synergize better

Lord high fixer was my first legendary (got it in an engram) I consistently get 2x the kills that higher lvl team mates have in strikes / raids. Not sure about the other one.

That being said, I personally find: Stability doesn't matter much when it comes to Handcannons, by the time you're ready to take a second shot you should already be recentered, sort of like a shotgun. Sights don't really matter either, as far as asthetics go all handcannon sights are very similar, and stat wise the difference is negligible. Range will be the game changer between the two of them. Three shot KO from 20m out against 3 shot KO from 25m type deal. That's the only crucial difference you're going to come across.

LHF. I bought it and haven't used anything in PvP since unlocking third eye.

Buy both, try them both then make your decision.
