I know it's a little early to say, but seeing the way Bungie and Destiny's story is headed, I highly doubt they can modify the story to fit their unnecessarily long 10 year timeline (and keep people entertained) for the Destiny series. It's only the first month and I feel there is too little and way too late. This whole, "We'll implement story (for free - kinda) later" DOES NOT WORK if you haven't even set the bare necessity of story in the first month of launch. I would've been okay with that whole mentality if it had a good story already and only added on to it with cool plot lines later, but at this point I understand nothing of the game, and I highly doubt there's anything more I can do but cough up another $60 for Destiny 2 in two years in hopes of actually getting something discernible this time.
Going off of that, how are they going to make the vital changes to the story that enriches the lore, like we want it to be, in only TWO years?! Two years is probably enough time to make a few more strikes and raids for people to repeat over and over and over again, and add a new picture on the box cover.
I just don't understand. I've been playing Halo since I was a kid with it's story being so encapsulating, and so well done. When I play Destiny, I see nothing in terms of story development. Your guys's thoughts?

Time will tell. If Destiny can get it's act together before long, then I'm sure fans will want Destiny 2. Even if it doesn't, there are people who will go for a sequel simply because it's a sequel... As for me, Bungie has til Massive releases The Division. After that, Destiny may be an afterthought to me... Or Bungie will have impressed me enough to keep playing.
