then stop crying, if you clearly know the game you're playing. that is if you have any common sense with the neanderthal insults.

Edited by CaseSpowboy: 10/5/2014 10:24:12 AMJust take it from a 6 year WoW vet, Destiny is more of a grind than it is there now. This game isn't for casuls or EZ quitters. Again, not hatin' bro. Sorry for your lost time, just my 2 cents.
-
I can agree whole heartedly the grind isn't as bad in WoW as it is in this game especially since rep goes through all of your characters now, but as for raiding and getting loot I'm not sure the majority of the Destiny community would last on a standard raid loot system. Unless everything in WoW is like raid finder now.
-
It is. Plus you have a new bonus Reroll System. Game is seriously EZ mode, Welfare Epics are handed out like candy at a kiddy party. Red grind isn't AS bad, because of bonus rep tokens for all characters across accounts. But overall Destiny blows WoW out of the water in terms of grindage now a days, there may be less to do in comparison, but you'll spend MORE time doing that little bit than you would in WoW.
-
Hmmm that's actually very disappointing I was actually considering going back to WoW for Warlords too but if everything has become what I hated in the first place not sure want to go back now, but yeah the Grind in Destiny is a tad too extreme was vanilla WoW grinding even comparable to this?

Edited by CaseSpowboy: 10/5/2014 11:02:23 AMThe only comparison I can draw from WoW being worse is when we had to spend a week or more attuning just to ENTER a raid. Karazhan for example, or Black Temple. Warlords is going in the right directions, but the fact remains, the game is almost 10 years old, content is either a re skin or just a washout of past mechanics they implemented then realized weren't a good idea(Resileince). They're removing Hit, Expertise, and Parry(?) in WoD, replacing them with things like Multistrike(Spreads your damage over extra swings or hits extra mobs). Destiny may have less to do, but it at least makes you WORK hard for the minimal increases, where as wow is pretty much "Here's free purples, now go raid." Plus you can buy 1-90 boosts for 60$ now, so... yeah. WoW is a shell of what we used to play, I still have an active sub, but I haven't been on since destiny released, if that tells you anything. Edit to answer your Question. What little I played of vanilla I cannot fathom it being harder than Destiny's grind still. Rep grinds were, and still are a bitch, but Destiny makes Rep so much simpler. The loot system and actual work required to advance makes WoW look like 2 chimps throwing poo at each other.

Woah, like really you can buy boost now? Recruit a friend wasn't enough eh? xD how the mighty have fallen... Ugh and to think Bungie - Acti may end up like Blizzard - Acti in the long run.
-
Anything + Acti isn't a good formula, but it's like I mentioned to Reclaimer, could always be worse, we could be dealing with Bungie + EA. GG.
-
Ho ho ho... that would be worse no doubt. GG indeed
-
Its not even a fun grind tho And no trading to balance out the RNG or system to stop duplicates makes Destiny worthless

Edited by CaseSpowboy: 10/5/2014 10:34:19 AMEh, to each there own bud, ya know? I've been playing for weeks now and I'm one of the FEW totally satisfied customers, aside from the fact I have to re watch and re listen to every cinematic and story without a skip option. This is an episodic game, a MASSIVE story that will take years to unfold. Sure, it wasn't the most intriguing or deep delving campaign they've ever done, but I have total faith in the content for the next couple of years. The mechanics are solid, the story will be quite the twister (Que M Night Shymalan twist pun) the PvP reminds me of old halo, and the raids are quite challenging. Don't get me wrong, there is always room for improvement, but of all developers if you bring an issue to Bungie, they get on it, they fix it, and we move on. This could be a HELL of a lot worse. Just for the record, people buy Alpha's at full price everyday and have even WORSE issues, lest we talk about DayZ? Edit: Or this could have been published by EA now that I think of it... *Shudders*
-
True about DayZ comment However thats a PC/Steam issue with broken half made games, and Gabe doesnt offer refunds so I dont waste my money on his sales EA actually has chat/email/support/phone services and allow you to tell them the problems and you talk to actual people They then issue patches Bungie says "were too good to talk to plebs. heres the forums instead, which we wont read." No way to submit a support ticket or talk to them They only issue patches (on their own accord) to nerf things people enjoy(loot caves, queens bounty), or make the game worse (engrams fixed but reduced drop rate)
-
Queens bounty needed nerfing. That shit was stupid.
