Screw the Thorn bounty, it sucks
I'm stuck on the void damage part, WHY IS THIS SO BULLSHITLY HARD!? IM DOING EVERYTHING VOID SNIPER,VOID FUSION RIFLE, AND I STILL CAN'T GET SHIT DONE . EVERY TIME I GET A KILL I GET KILLED 3 TIMES MORE, ITS SOOOOOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING I WANT TO GOUGE OUT MY EYES WITH A SPOON

4 RepliesEdited by Jman 703OG: 10/4/2014 1:25:57 PMIt gets worse but here are some tips to close out the final part of this bounty: I completed this before VoG released, right afterwards and my buddies got lvl26. It took 3 hours and was quite the [b][i][u]mother-bitch[/u][/i][/b]. Bring friends or find other players that need the bounty. I'd really recommend everyone be 26+. The Phogoth fight really sucks since you just have to hold out for until Xyor spawns...my friends and I held up in the room right before you enter the boss's chamber. We would funnel adds into that room and kill them, sometimes they would teleport away and a shrieker would spawn. When it spawns it focuses one player and that player would go back to the hallway before the room you're holding out in, the shrieker will just fire at the wall between it and the player it's fixated one. Then it will despawn eventually. This strat took us around 45 mins and is kind of buggy (when the adds come back they will still be damaged if you managed to hurt them previously) but it gets the job done. Best of luck P.S. Bungie hinted that they will be buffing Thorn and Bad Juju in the near future so this bounty will pay off

I used a void fusion rifle. I had the time of my life! I went from sucking with it, to dominating with it.

I thought abandoning mine too. I'm not a big fan of the crucible either but upon purchasing "The Comedian" void damage shotgun I rose to the challenge and got through it.

Which match type are you trying? I found it easiest on either clash or rumble.

I was struggling too. Then I figured out that the fusion rifle is a beast in the crucible. My k/d before was .9 almost all the time. Once I started this bounty and used the fusion rifle with good damage my k/d for those matches was around 2 with 25-30 kills each time. It was awesome

I did this entire bounty yesterday from start to finish.....yes it sucked but the pvp stuff was just a grind. It was in now way hard. Waiting for Xyor in the Summoning Pits wasn't even hard, again its just a grind. Just keep trying, you will get it.

I have the same one, I make progress but I don't like most people that play Crucible, they're assholes with no class, always trying to spawn trap and cheat in anyway they can. We should get 4 other people that have this bounty and team up, help each other out

I agree that it's really hard. Still, even though I'm not that good playing with sticks and have insane latency issues in this game's PVP even I managed to finish this part. I used a Void Fusion Rifle and though it took me a few days to learn it I finally managed to finish this bounty in the end. Don't abandon it, just do like Rise Against and GIve It All!

Do void fusion rife on controll I got like 50 to 100 points a game (only on the small maps though) since everyone is focused on capturing you just focus on killing

Thorn has one of the easier requirments..

3 Repliesdon't give up Guardian! I finished that part yesterday via Skirmish but it took about 3 days (4-5 hours a day) - only problem now is looking for a fireteam to finish it up with Xyor. Honestly though, if Xur sold The Last Word this week, I'd abandon the bounty faster than you could say 'Cryptarch you're such a fvcking arshole'

Best done with a warlock void walker got the void grenades the void nova bomb and a void fusion was easy but yeah that wasn't hard getting past the 3 waves to phogoth and xyor is the suicide part
