By normal Ofcourse I mean earths gravity. It makes no sense this is a game about space and planets and guardians but I just can't buy it when I'm on the moon and the GRAVITY IS THE EXACT SAME.
Somebody please help.

Prob the Traveller? The thing terraformed the solar system remember so fixing the moons gravity doesn't sound that hard. Maybe the Hive altered the gravity when they dug in on the moon?

My titans massive balls are weighing him down.

1 ReplyThe latest episode of Doctor Who totally covered this.

3 RepliesIf this game was going to be THAT realistic, shooting a gun on the Moon would be impossible. I don't exactly know the scientific reason, I just know you wouldn't be able to do that. On another note: The moon has a day and night cycle lol I think thats hilarious xD

1 ReplyI know right? When you jump on the moon you should be able to vault over that pipeline in the sky, as it is I have trouble at times getting my Titan up there. He has put on a bit of weight.

Magic... Space magic

It's the future and the hive machines generate gravity...

8 RepliesPeople are using terraforming as an excuse. Gravity is a result of Mass. The moon is the same size. Same density. So, the only explanation (that I can think of) is that Guardian Suits have a flexible mass, so as to always apply 1G (Normal Earth Gravity Effects) on the body. This would prevent bone and muscle loss, as is common with in-space conditions. By flexible mass, I mean that they can weigh more or less, depending on environment. Ghosts would obviously regulate this, making sure that you don't float away or plummet through the Moon's crust.

3 RepliesThis has been beaten to death. Let it go.

This forum is awesome.... ahahah

Maybe the earth has moon gravity. Have you seen how we all jump?
-
CAUSE BUNGIE SAID SO THATS WHY.
-
Because it's a video game?
-
Why does it matter when you can double jump?
-
5 RepliesBecause you touch yourself at night....

3 RepliesAll the random sci fi shit in the game and you're complaining about gravity on the moon? *flips IKEA table*

I'm assuming anything that is out of normal specs is a result of the traveler. In the beginning scene on Mars, it shows the traveler basically terraforming Mars in a matter of minutes. I guess it could be longer than that since he was already there when the astronauts showed up. Anyway, that's my explanation.

It actually said in the beginning video of destiny that the "traveller terraformed planets and extended human life to 300 years" so somehow through the power of light the traveller made all the planets breathable to humans and biotic life forms that breath oxygen or whatever was necessary to sustain life :)

1 ReplyEdited by Jaeger: 10/5/2014 2:47:27 AMFrom a logical point of view I'd say it was done by either advanced Terraforming and/or massive nuclear powered atmospheric processors. Such as the ones found in the classic horror film "Aliens" in order to make the air breathable, only these are modified to make artificial gravity.

Im gonna make a wild guess here, and say because then gameplay on the moon would be crazy >_<. Imagine performing a running double jump.. you might float so far that you go out of bounds and then bam! Dead! Or you float right off the moon lol.

It makes no sense this is a game about space and planets and guardians but I just can't buy it when I'm on the moon and the GRAVITY IS THE EXACT SAME. Somebody please help.[/quote] Gravitation anomaly generators. If you loot at the corpses of the humans on the moon they all wear standard looking space suits. We can probably assume China was able to generate artificial gravity inside the colony buildings however we have exemplary evidence about the current state of the moon. But first lets look as some observable things. The moon appears to have a breathable atmosphere now. I say this because the Fallen wear No visible protection on Earth, or Venus. This indicates they also breath oxygen like humans. There is no confirmation that guardian gear has any extra life support like rebreathers. And on the moon the Fallen don't wear protective gear. The hive May or May not breath oxygen it's unclear as most of them seem to have exoskeltons. This leads me to believe that they do However as they are present on earth and the moon. I also believe based on the gear found on human corpses on the moon they are producing the atmosphere. Back to the topic at hand though. None of the alien space craft are in anyway aerodynamic while there is no need to be in space we see plenty of examples of in atmosphere flight from these aliens. Now Its ok to assume that Fallen ships use something similar to our sparrows just on a larger scale. However we see Hive tomb ships slipping in via extradimensional portals these are possibly folds in time space which is a reoccurring theory in FTL theories. Using a for lack of better terms Black Hole generator one folds two points of time and space together and passes through unfolding this space on the other side. This same technology is what I believe The hive uses to generate gravity on the moon. Using these anomaly generators the produce the ability not only for their ships to fly in atmospheric conditions but also to generate gravity on the moon.

No shit it's the same. The traveler helped with that. Same reason for air on mars and jungles with normal gravity on Venus

4 RepliesEdited by xRANDALLxFLAGG: 10/5/2014 2:09:20 AMin case you did not know, ALL of the bodies in the solar system you visit in this game should have gravity different from earth....unless the travelers did something.... mars venus moon

1 ReplyI would assume with the hive hollowing it out and adding their own, probably heavier and more dence structures, would make the moon have more pull. And if that doesnt do it for you here is another reason... SPACE MAGIC!!!! WoOoOoOoOoOo
