Why is a warthog called a warthog and not a warhog?
It makes no sense and many people call it "war-hog".
English stinks.

Wow..interesting i just call it a HOG..for ease and faster then saying warthog...WART HOG human vechs are named after animals and aliens vechs are named after scary things like ghosts.banshees..etc etc... and when you call someone an idiot because they make a pop culture reference and they correct you..it doesnt show how smart you are by yelling at them for just simply telling you what they ment... I can't believe there are people here grappling with such a simple word as "warthog". Honestly, it is just pronounced as it looks like it should be. Phonetics is your fiend. Also not the two "tusk like" projections on the front bumper of the warthog.
