is there any given reason why titans at higler levels have those really ridiculous attachments on their "armor" ? like ribs and horns and such tidious stuff?

1 ReplyHow dare you insult Kabr's armor!

3 RepliesHave you ever looked at medieval or feudal battle armor? Gundam designs borrow heavily from Feudal Japanese samurai armor. Armor designed to protect as well as instill fear in the enemy. Horns spikes, even spines and the like adorned many ancient armor types as a method of intimidation. Perhaps you should study up on this. Either way its fitting as most Titan attack rely on close encounters where hunters have slim fitting battle suits befitting agile warriors whose attack are mostly stealthy and ranged and Warlock have a more traditional looking robe or cloak. If you look closely at the game many of it's themes are. We see the Vex relying (or perhaps just how the Guardians have named them?) on European mythology with Goblins and harpies as well as Cyclops and hydras. The Cabal mirroring the Roman Empires military titles. More European themes for the hive and the Fallen. The primary locations also hint at this, Russia being the first place you encounter, the distinctly middle European countryside that the tower resides in as well as the cryptarch asking if you speak German from time to time. the Ishtar collective sounds slightly middle eastern or Indian (as well as the fact they are mystics and warlocks) while your first encounter with the moon is an old Chinese or Japanese (can't remember which) lunar base. We see constant nods as eastern and European cultures within the game. The intimidation factor is a huge part of armor from those periods. And it makes sense for titans as frontlinemen to be as intimidating as possible. At least imo

1 ReplyHeavy classes have a trend of trying to look like Gundam..
-
1 ReplyMy Titan actually looks like an Urban SWAT cop including a nightstick to beat Hipsters with.
-
Yeah...
No.
-
1 Replyyou want some cheese with that whine?
-
6 RepliesYou mad bro? Cause Titans look the closest to Master Chief. If Master Chief had a class.....it would be a Titan.
-
10 RepliesAre you actually bitching about how a character looks? You're not even a Titan but you're bitching about how it looks like it affects you?
-
2 RepliesI was expecting this thread to be something about Titanfall. I was disappointed.
-
Female Titans (Titaness?) look sexy as hell.
-
that's because titans are the best.
-
I would exchange the things on my titan shoulders for something else, but the rest is ok, I've seen worse...
-
I have an a##hole also
-
My Hunter's floor-length cape is as impressive as it is impractical. But yeah, the minute I saw the guy from Guardian Radio in his Gundam getup, I knew in my heart that my first alt will be a Titan.
-
5 RepliesMy buddy and I were on crucible yesterday and he said, "Dude there is a Transformer on our team." I said, "It's me." we laughed. I think my Titan looks sick. Will have that exotic helm when I get home from work
-
Im a hunter and i honestly wish i had some titan gear. I like Gundams so i think they look pretty cool. Been a fan of gundam since the 90's
-
I think the Raid armour looks epic
-
Personally, I like it...and a lot of robotics and futuristic armor designs are formed from Manga designs or Star Trek's later series-es so you can really escape it..otherwise you have open-frame lifters and work-suits like Alien.

4 RepliesTitans to my look so much better than the warlocks. They have skirts and the hunters cape... Facepalm.
-
Titan: Hey guys you would tell me if i look stupid in that armor, wouldn't you? Hunter/Warlock "Suuuuuure".. (okay the Hunter often looks like a school warden with its white rubber boots.. )
-
Titans honestly look a lot like Spartans from Halo.
-
4 RepliesWould love to get my hands on that armor on the cover art, the one you say looks okay and usable, if only I could :(. I am also not a big fan of all the ridiculous spikes etc. which unfortunately seems to be high fashion in almost all end-game gear nowadays.
-
4 RepliesEdited by JordanU: 10/3/2014 7:48:59 AMWell, Titans use their body as a weapon, so wouldn't it make sense to put things such as spikes and rigged plating into the armor?
-
That last armor set with Chatterwhite, he'd look like a Descendant.
-
That last armor is from the raid and is pretty cool looking imo. But otherwise I agree. Especially the legendary armor that looks like that have wings on their back. Kinda weird looking and really bulky. I know they're for a tank like character but what's wrong with having a slimmer powerhouse? Lol

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure I saw a titan with that eye armor today, he looked awesome
