6) Concluded that the likelihood of the completed DLC's being on the disc is highly unlikely and went back to enjoying the game.

How do you feel now that all the completed dlc is on the disc? Well a lot anyway. Was just on the moon going through the raid area glitch.

How were the enemies? Were the tough? How about the puzzles? Were the cut scenes good? Did your ghost say anything funny as you went through the raid? Maps on the disc ≠ completed DLC. Given that, they actually render the land that appears in the game and not just rely on static images to create the "views", they have developed quite a bit of map data that we don't have access to (otherwise, the borders would look like the edge of a Minecraft map LOL ). The fact that some of the future areas already have their map data developed does not surprise me in the slightest . . . simply seems like good planning to me. There is WAAAAAAY more needed for the DLC to be complete . . . if some of the data were already done, it would make a lot of sense to ship it out on the disc, but keep it locked out until the rest of the content/code was ready . . . hopefully, it will make the DLC downloads significantly smaller when they are finally released.

There is literally footage of the Crota boss fight from early 2013. You're telling me they never finished it? Clearly they cut it from the game to re-wrap it for dlc. Activision is notoriously greedy. There's footage from 2013 of fights on the reef. Expect that to be available for purchase also.

It's entirely possible that they haven't finished it. I've worked in software development for over 15 years, so I may have a slightly different view of all of this than most. When you work on this kind of stuff, you do prototyping, you do tests, you start working on stuff and then have people tell you to stop because something else has been given a higher priority. All of the delays and postponements of features and content are EXTREMELY familiar, because I see this happen all the time. It seems MUCH more likely to me that they are experiencing all of the standard challenges of a massive, ongoing, software deployment, then purposefully trying to piss off their player base.

Edited by AlphaK25: 10/30/2014 12:48:51 AMYou might be right, but never in my life have I felt cheated out of a game so much. I feel as though Activision is the cancer in this case. There's no way bungie made all of these promises knowingly it wasn't possible in the time frame. Something just doesn't add up. People can build a fully polished game in 2 years I'm sure bungie was more than capable of finishing all the moon dlc content to put in the game pre release.

The area I was at was advertised over a year and a half ago. That means the boss fight and the enemies were in place and scripted. I'd say that part was 90% done in early 2013 when they released the footage of it, yet it never made it to the final cut, but rather will be sold to us.
