If they're both consenting and they don't procreate I don't see it as a problem.
But why is it morally wrong?

Being by large an amoral person, there's nothing wrong with it in my view. If that's what people want I honestly don't care. I think it was much more prevalent back when societies weren't as cohesive and concern was centered around producing healthy offspring and establishing social sanctity of the family unit to foster stronger societal bonds. It applies now to an extent by that logic, but again, I simply don't care.

Because you sister has so much to offer to the men in this world. She needs to be free to experience all that live at random has to offer. Side note: tell her to bring more lube tonight we used the last of it this morning.

Frowned upon? It's F*cking illegal.
-
Honestly I couldn't give a single shit what other people do, it doesn't effect me so whatever.

There is nothing wrong with banging your own Mother

Same reason being gay is frowned upon, cos the people who it doesn't involve don't like the idea of it and therefore want to prescribe it to the whole world. Personally I find it icky, i'd never have sex with my sister or any other of my family members, but if some random siblings wanna have sex then why the hell not? It's not my decision to make; it's totally theirs. And so long as there aren't any children there's no problem.

5 RepliesWhat the literal -blam!-? Stop trolling..and if your not then I really -blam!-ing pray you don't manage to reproduce, mixing genomes when they are too closely related can cause severe issues.

Wow just wow

Auburn is pretty good this year, huh?
-
Most people have a psychological rejection of it, but as long as there are no children I think it's fine. Not our business to go poking in other people's love lives.
-
Mmm because your kids end f-up oh no kids then feel free but once your done you can't break up with her.

I'd assume it's something to do with our biology, considering how sexual reproduction is supposed to work. Those that had a natural aversion were most successful, and this biological adversity became a cultural one.
-
Social taboo. It's still not a good thing to do, though.

1 ReplyEdited by Toa Axis: 10/3/2014 8:14:10 PMYou know, that's a good question, and I think the simple answer is just taboo. Society has been conditioned to look down upon incest for ages, and I think the higher probability of an incestuous couple having a deformed baby merely contributes to that. And that's a problem. Lots of people think "incest", and their mind immediately jumps to "sex", which is understandable, but false a lot of the time in real-world scenarios. We change and our opinions change through what society deems as "normal". I myself would never partake in such a thing, probably because I can't imagine myself doing so, but what you bring up is a relevant question to an issue that often falls to the wayside among others. Unfortunately I doubt that this is something that's going to change anytime soon, if ever. My two cents.

Its morally and genetically wrong as well. Our species was meant to mix our DNA with others that don't have the exact traits thus enforcing survival of the fittest rule. Even half siblings reduce the ability of stronger ability for the next generation. Although they do not have children, those rules apply to this day even with overpopulation.

I don't see a problem with it, just as long as they don't have kids.

Because we as a society has deemed what we think is acceptable. Because it has been perceived that way we automatically use that as our own judgment instead of trying to form our own opinion on things. As long as they don't reproduce I don't see the issue. Is it something I would personally partake in....no not at all. But to each his own I guess.

16 RepliesI don't know. I get a lot of people arnt attached to there siblings but a lot of people arnt attracted to the same sex or black people etc. So I don't see why this is a issue. As for the reproduction you are right it does have a higher chance of defects however aslong as reproducing is not a aim that should not be a problem. Then there is the fact of having a releshion but not inserting or same sex releshion. Sorry for crappy spelling. Trying to eat breakfast at the same time.

1 ReplyThis is troubling to me. I mean I get it. Maybe it's only revolting to us because we've been made to believe it is wrong. Morals are different everywhere. I honestly think that there is no real ethical way of interpreting certain actions or things because in my opinion, morals and ethics are created by humans. There really technically is no right or wrong.
