NEW Intrusion Ghost Shell
In the following days Guardians have been glitching into Kings Watch the "dlc content" that Deej claims these areas of the games simply aren't done. However following the Bungie AMA on Reddit this has popped up. Players have been getting into Kings watch. A area Bungie cut from the final game later to resell it as DLC. In Kings Watch players have been picking up a new ghost called Intrusion ghost shell. This player has it here: http://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/2/4611686018434162802/2305843009217239739 it doesn't stop there Bungie is Banning people who glitch into these areas, that have already been done prior to release and stripped from the final game that you paid for. Well there you have it further proof Bungie has cut Content from the actual release of Destiny to sell for DLC and is banning players who venture into these areas and picking up the new ghost shell.
Like many of you im very upset with Bungie that not only did Bungie Advertise a lot features that weren't in the final game. They have also stripped content that was already done prior to release to sell as DLC.
We the community have a voice let it be heard.
This is inexcusable, what is your opinion?
EDIT 1: I did a lot of Research on this and the guy modded his game to get the intrusion Ghost shell however people who bought the GHOST EDITION of Destiny got the Intrusion ghost shell legitly!

Another reason I think The dark below and house of wolves were cut is we didn't get any new trophies with the dark below. I bet we won't get any with the house of wolves either because they were part of the game originally.

Edited by spartin 1217: 1/16/2015 1:10:39 AMHello, in the beta i (on a friends account) glitched into kings watch. and let me tell you it was NOT completed walls were not completed and the boss in there was called MEGA Captain(obviously just a name thought up quick in development) the ceilings were not solid and there was only 3 rooms and a hallway if i recall correctly.

Dude this is retarded you obviously know very little about how big xpaks are for mmo's (try downloading all day, both xb1 and PS can only support certain net speeds). I would take hours to DL wow pack back in the day console supported speed. So thank you Bungie for making sure I can access the awesome content and slay like a beast within mins of pak release. Your just trying to troll the internet for fame, stop its not cute!

I do the glitch regularly as I'm too god-damn BORED to do anything else. Maybe if Bungie decided to listen to the public and actually make the game what it was intended to be, with no crappy over-expensive DLCs and expansions. Destiny has become Bungie's Cash Cow, and believe me when I say that they've milked it dry, butchered it, and sold any remnants to high-end restaurants. Case justified. Anyone else want to 'shamefully admit' to this 'crime' of glitching?

3 RepliesHow long do you think it takes to create the area, detail, add enemies and scripted encounters. NOT 2 MONTHS, this shit takes time, adding just the environment in anticipation is not unheard of or in bad practice. Without already creating the areas first im sure we would be waiting 6 - 8 months like a lot of other games make you wait for dlc.

How come Destiny is the only game that released "DLC" but I still do not have more than 1000 achievement points like all my other games??? Bioshock Infinite plus all other games in that series. Fallout Oblivion Et cetera... It just doesn't feel like dlc without the additional 400 dlc achievements.

Instead of banning those players you should strip away their progression in the game and patch up the glitch. Banning them is the last thing you should consider, not from the beginning.

Kings watch is still missing something..not sure what it just feels like it's missing something. The other problem is the name of the boss in there. It had no name just what kind of npc it was. Imo I think bungie couldn't get it ready in time before the launch and decided to put the unfinished area on and install more in each update.

pretty sure Destiny has gained at least 10GBs since it first came out. I glitch into this are as soon as I unlocked Blade dancer months ago....its changed even since then. but be blind and believe its finished if you want to....lol

That intrusion ghost shell was modded onto the guys account which is why they were banned bungie has never banned anyone for glitching, Unless it involves tampering with your console. (example: i got banned back in Reach for doing that ethernet glitch which involved pulling your ethernet cord out after finishing challenges) Only time I have seen people banned was if they cheating to increase their rank high quickly which was understandable, but they will never ban anyone from glitching out of the map. Also that intrusion shell has nothing to do with kings watch, there are two dead ghosts in there( which i picked up) but no ghost shell sadly.

6 RepliesYou won't get banned as long as you don't pick up Ghosts. Seriously how have people not figured that out by now? The ghost shows up in your grimoire, Bungie can monitor your grimiore. Also, and i'm not confirming this information, it is just what i was told. I was told the game had so much cut content because the company partnered with Bungie in the making of Destiny, wanted the game released right away, so several things had to be cut. Again, i'm not confirming this, just what i heard.

4 RepliesI get that they didn't finish stuff so they left it out, but players shouldn't be penalized for accessing the content that is there. Are there guidelines that outline accessing unfinished content gets you banned? It seems drastic when there is no warning preceding it. Even then, the game is yours, you should be able to go anywhere you can get to, glitch or not. It's not as if other players are negatively affected, as in the PVP unlimited ammo glitch. Most old school game speed runs use glitches or some kind. I've never heard of Nintendo banning players from Metroid for glitching off the map.

1 ReplyI glitched into King's Watch and killed all the mobs. I did not pick up the Ghost in case it caused me to miss out on Grimoire cards. It IS fully finished, but it's a small area. There is a window you can jump out of at the end and like all other fully-formed areas, it gives you 4 seconds to turn back. No one is really missing out. If anything, it's only interesting because they cut it out. It probably wouldn't serve as anything else except a bounty that Ultra Captain or a short story mission. I'm guessing they cut it out because they didn't want to add another Fallen House to the mix. THEN they got the point where they abandoned the story and it didn't matter anyway.

It seems to me that bungie banning you for going to areas PRESENT ON THE DISC is illegal. You are not in yourself modding or cheating. You are using game mechanics to go to an area present on the disc. I think anyone who had this done needs to get together and see what csn be done to reverse this.

I think you don't understand the development process. The level design, sure was done. doesn't mean that entire level was done. A lot more goes into it than just the level. If they didn't feel it was complete then they didn't have to sell it, simple as that.

1 ReplyMy opinion is that these treads are getting tiring, the levels obviously aren't done yet and even if they are, you don't have to buy the DLC. Bungie sold game, bungie has the right to charge for more content, you have the right whether to choose to buy it. I don't agree with the bans, but obviously if they are banning people, It would be smart not to do it.
