Terrible. I don't want any more of you kids in my IRC, and IRC and it's role in the Bungie community is fine as it is. IRC isn't something you try to force on a community, especially one as dormant as this one where anyone who really wants to IRC already knows where to go and how to get there.
Also Nerd didn't actually say what you quoted him as saying! You're terrible for that.

Edited by James: 1/12/2013 10:14:59 AMpretty sure you weren't there when nerd and i were talking about it. feel free to have your opinion and all, but it's not as if everyone has a CHOICE to IRC, most people don't even know about it. besides, this isn't trying to promote #bungienet, this is so private groups can have a chat of their own.

If you want to talk about an integrated widely-used service, there are many services out there that would probably prove more efficient than IRC. I think if Bungie were to implement any kind of chat service it would most likely be custom made, tied to account systems and much more to the point and simple to use.

ok, that's my lack of knowledge of terminology then. I'm simply talking about being able to use a chatroom for each private group, which is through an interface where your different private groups would come up as channels (there might also be the option to create channels etc.) I would think of that as IRC, it seems I am mistaken.
