Do not blame bungie. Blame FPS fans with no interest in story for this. I knew it seemed weird the story seemed so loose. This just confirms it more. The game was basically dumbed down for those activision knew would not give two craps for a great story in exchange for randomly shooting things all day without need or reason to give them a "more accessiable" player base
