Just checking, but this is the pvp mission to get 500 points of void damage yes? I think Hunters are the only players having a serious problem with this at the moment. Void damage from melee and grenades also counts toward this challenge. If your kda is even 0.5 you can grind this out over time. Equip a void fusion rifle or shotgun and you'll be rolling in the points in a few hours even if you are a mediocre player.

You're right. Not everyone is good enough to earn every exotic bounty. That would be the point.

Stupid, definitely not. But I will admit it is a little hard. Of the 2 exotic bounties I completed and the other 2 I am currently doing, it wasn't the hardest or even stupid. The bounty's intent is to make you overcome a challenging obstacle. I definitely cherish my thorn more than my other exotics and legendaries due to the challenge, but that's my opinion. Wishing you luck with it and hope it doesn't drive you over the edge.

Ok I've seen countless number of these complaints all around the forum and frankly it's gotten a little out of hand. I have the Thorn hand cannon and true it may not be worth while the challenge for most (till the buff) but do realize it's an EXOTIC. So before I even get to my first point I'd like to consider myself pretty good at both PVE and PVP. I'm not amazing but I know how to get the job done. so for all those that comment saying it's all skill... It's not. It's just strategic gameplay for the most part. First off, just to clarify, from personal experience - yes the PVP took some time. Especially because I was being impatient and running to my death every spawn. Quickly figured out what NOT to do and it worked wonders. I recommend taking that other commenters advice - control with void shotty and heavy playing defense. Less deaths plus more kills = a happy you. I tackled this bounty as a new lvl 25. Got to the xyor part- tried it once and was like... Not yet. Came back at 26 and did it by myself. It was absolutely difficult but thank god for fireborn on my warlock- otherwise would have been impossible. but I'm gunna tell you a secret... I didn't do this bounty for the gun - although now I love it. I did it because of the story behind the gun. Because when people see me using the gun they know," shit he took down xyor" they know what I went through. Just like bungie had intended. If you want the gun you'll make it work, if not you won't. keep the end goal in mind and it works wonders. So a lot of people complain because they can't stand PVP or they aren't good or they just prefer PVE. you don't like the grind of getting those 500 void damage points. but let me put the shoe on the other foot. Let's say you hate PVE and you live for the PVP gameplay. The bad juju bounty would be a nightmare for you. 25 strike completions? Talk about a grind - regardless of level difficulty that would take forever to finish. Sure I've prolly done more than that by now but not because of an exotic bounty... Just for pure fun with friends. If you play defensively you will finish the thorn crucible portion before anyone would finish 25 strike missions... And if not - then find some friends to help you out with it. That being said - I'd consider this bounty fair as there are other bounties that cater to the other type of gamer.

I could go on for ages about this, long story short, don't suck at PvP and if you do you don't deserve one of the best weapons in the game.

Its not really that hard took me about 12 matches i suggest control . And i do have the thorn the last bounty for it is super hard i mean almost insane

So many people hate the PvP part of these bounties. I'm with you. I was furious when I had to do it. It was very rewarding when I got it though. Doesn't mean I agree with the bounties tho. Also got invective which is a pain in the balls as well. It just six for PVErs who may never get these guns, especially when they are more likely to be the ones who want to collect all the exotics.

U lose 1 for a death and gain 3 for a kill be patient. I recommend the swarm lmg from Vanguard. And a void fusion or shot gun for special. Play control camp heavy ammo spawns.

It's supposed to be a challenge, not a free weapon for everyone. The 25 kill spread is a lot easier than it seems. Just stay positive and it will eventually tick up. If you can't stay positive then it isn't for you. Like not everyone will be good enough to complete the Nightfall strike or the Raid. Challenges that have rewards for skilled play. This is a good thing.

I had this problem with the first 100 points but after that I got the hang of it and it was done in no time
