That's a ridiculous statement. Likely they are under contract as far as how they talk or make statements about any content related to destiny. They would be risking voiding their contract and would be risking the development costs being dropped on them.
Of course they are going to "give in." They agreed to it and if they didn't destiny wouldn't have been made in the first place.

Something changed a year ago, four years into development. They gave in then. They need to come out with some kind of non PR spin statement about this.
