I get that, I just think the idea that lots of content would get nerfed out kinda doesn't make sense. The other issue is that the game described by the "leaker" is fundamentally different. I find it hard to believe that Bungie would set out to make a linear narrative shooter and then produce the arcade-like Destiny. I agree, Bungie should be more transparent about future content, but I don't think this theory of the changes in the last year is legit.

I personally ignored the hype on Destiny. Didn't watch anything other than commercials before release. Granted I did get word of mouth information like the grimours existence. I played through the game and then made another character to play it again because I was so thoroughly lost I thought I had to miss something. I'm still trying to figure out what the big hole(the warlock jumps first I think) was on venus the live action trailer was supposed to represent(I am under the impression these were supposed to be in-game locations). I'm just saying as a player who tried to stay in the dark this game felt off. I love the gameplay mechanic, it keeps me coming back. But the lore, the story, just feels off.

  • I do think we should criticize Bungie for communicating. This is a game that needs a community, and keeping everyone in the dark probably is breeding resentment. I bet we all get excited when the October schedule drops though.
