In short...
NOBODY BUY THE DLC!!!!!!
That is the easiest way for our voices to be heard.

If the DLC offered us the cut content as well as completley new content we haven't seen before, then I'd be ok with paying for it. But I feel like it isn't that simple, and that the DLC was supposed to be part of the game anyways. Or something else even more convoluted.
-
I feel like this DLC crap is all Activision's doing. Them knowing all this information before release and they still push the add on?
-
Yeah, same here. Back when Bungie signed on with Activision, I immediately started to get worried that something bad might happen to the game or the studio. It turns out that my gut feelings were sort of correct : \
-
Well the 404 guy in the Reddit posts actually warns against this, because boycotting it would probably kill the game.
-
Too bad a lot of people have already bought the pass via limited/ghost edition or simply purchasing the pass at launch.
-
The problem is there are too many sheep.
-
In short, millions will buy the DLC, and the few whining babies on the forums won't buy it, and complain about more content "we should have got day one!!!!!!!".
-
In short, give Activision and Bungie your money to maybe/possibly/probably get a complete story, or don't and watch them tank destiny faster a heavy turd in a toilet. This isn't civil disobedience, they (well, Activision) aren't dependent on this game for income. If you don't play it, they won't make it. If everyone boycotted EVERY Activision product, it might be possible, but good luck there.
-
Sadly, if anything this will tank bugie if that happens unless the company has some extra emergency contract for another job and it's likely they are contractually obligated to focus on this tittle meaning shopping around for a backup contract. It would require Activision to somehow void the contract and even then it would take a while not to mention no one would likely scoop them up if they know they are under contract. They may sink or swim on this one. That's gotta be one of the saddest thoughts I have. The company that made some of my best games of all time being dismantled. It's a hard choice between doing whats right and what you want to do.
-
I am seriously sad and bummed
-
In case people haven't heard Activision are game rapist.
-
I'm in the same boat. I basically own consoles because of Halo. I'm assuming that long term this will balance out. I've played and watched people play far worse games for much longer than this in the hopes that the end result would meet expectations. Destiny is far closer to that objective than those games.
-
If the story just a had a few more unique objectives they would be sitting pretty right now. I really don't hope they sink on this one but at the same time I can't help being disappointed or maybe mad is a better term. But I have good reason to be mad about the story , they give lots of ammo. I just can't bring myself to see them sink. They are the reason i want to get into the industry. But this is jarring to the point of re-evaluation.
-
Giving in to pressure from Activision, they deserve to dive dive dive.
-
That's a ridiculous statement. Likely they are under contract as far as how they talk or make statements about any content related to destiny. They would be risking voiding their contract and would be risking the development costs being dropped on them. Of course they are going to "give in." They agreed to it and if they didn't destiny wouldn't have been made in the first place.
-
Something changed a year ago, four years into development. They gave in then. They need to come out with some kind of non PR spin statement about this.
-
Easiest way? No my friend, the easiest way is posting here.
-
But I want to play it. -blam!- you.
-
-blam!- me? I want to play it too... But I also don't want Bungie or Activision to get any sort of confirmation that they handled this game the right way. I also don't want to play $95 for a complete game that I've already payed full price for. They don't deserve more of our money. Our wallets speak the loudest
