Talking about story i noticed the worlds have a lot of small rooms with really good lighting but nothing inside (other than a chest or a dead ghost if you are lucky.) They could have put anythings in them: Diary entries Audio logs Video projections Even props that told stories themselves like a crime scene. These rooms could have fleshed out the world a lot
